TURKEY - EGYPT Military Power Comparison

UK and France can produce better than most. The leading 2 are USA and Russia, and then China. But have you ever heard of USA and Russia buying military equipment from others? If there is a source, please let me know.

The US and Russia import some weapons components.

such as F-35B VTOL technology comes from UK (Harrier Jet).
The main gun of M1-A1 comes from Germany (Rheinmetall).

Some friends think that India and SK are stronger than UK and France. For example：SK can even make nuclear submarines? ? ? emmm.... My suggestion is-first let SK to production qualified warship steel.

Nobody is saying India is powerful than France or UK my friend.....

UK with it's Astute class submarines sitting in English channel can take out Indian metros like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata with ease with its Trident missiles.....

France can do the same with its Barracuda submarines....

Worst part is India doesn't have a capability to even retaliate in a revenge as we lack missiles of the range comparable to Trident.....

Both these European powers can simply turn India into a nuclear waste....

SK I don't know as they too are getting cutting edge weapons from USA but I don't think they have something long range like Trident.... they are not a nuclear power like UK and France.... so in my opinion even SK is weak if we compare them with UK and France....

If we are talking about nuclear power , then Pakistan is stronger than S.Korea,Japan,Brazil,Egypt ,etc
that means Pakistan is the 8th strongest military power in the world after the US,Russia,China,India,the UK,France and Israel


but We are talking about GFP List by conventional means, as nuclear capability is not taken into account
so India and S.Korea have stronger military power than France and the UK


French and British Armies are so tiny and weak ... India or S.Korea has stronger Army than French+British armies combined

also S.Korean Navy and Airforce have great power with most modern superior weapons
also S.Korea develops KF-X Fighter Jet and S.Korea has nuclear and Submarine building technology .... so S.Korea will build 2 Nuclear powered Submarines

even N.Korea has developed SLBM
and the UK use American TOMAHAWK SLCM and American TRIDENT SLBM

S.Korea has developed 1500km Cruise Missile to be launched from Submarines
S.Korea has developed 800km Ballistic Missile

and now S.Korea build 3.000 tons Attack Submarine which will have VLS to carry up to 10 Cruise Missiles
also development of SLBMs by S.Korea is expected to be completed in a few years

S.Korean SLBMs will be a derivative of Hyunmoo-2 Ballistic Missiles
and S.Korea will build 2 Nuclear powered Submarines



about 5th gen Fighter Jet

-- Iran and Vietnam can not develop Fighter Jet
-- Indonesia joined the KF-X program ( the US gives radar , engine , etc ) .. S.Korea can develop the K-FX
-- Turkey is working with British BAE Systems to develop the TFX Fighter Jet

Yes let's keep this thread non nuclear.... pure conventional..... quality wise I will rank Turkey and Egypt above India and Pakistan as Indo Pak both conventional forces are largely outdated..... Turkey enjoys hitech weapons due to association with NATO as well.....

We really need to upgrade our military.....

I think Egypt should start looking to install Aster 30 instead of Aster 15 which is on it's Fremm frigates.... Aster 30 will make it one hell of a deadly war ship....

One thing I don't understand about Brazil.... that country is double plus size of India and India size wise itself is one intercontinental type country.... so Brazil to protect its vast landmass must have a very powerful military.... they do have powerful economy to support such things.... still don't know why they are so lazy....

For what? Their region is in peace for decades. There is no justification to up arming the Brazil at large scale

FYI, in the past during tumultuous periods between 1910-1950, Brazil , Chile and Argentina armed forces is at arm races and while the likes of India, Egypt and Pakistan still at the mercy of western European they had ordered aircraft carrier and battle ships and capable to build their own fighter aircraft. So for now what it is the purpose of large armed forces for them? As US is clearly indicated the region is within their protection

Argentina too is a large country.... so large that it's just smaller by some few sq kms than India but look what happened with them in Folkland war.....

UK came all the way from Europe and beat them so badly.....

Can you guarantee one day Brazil won't have any trouble with French in Suriname??? Even tiny Cuba who has some maritime boundary issues with Brazil is capable of inflating huge damage on Brazil navy with its MIG 29s.....

I firmly believe that if you are a bigger country like Brazil and Argentina or Australia then keeping armed forces weaker is criminal.....

Yes these new procurements will definitely add a punch but most of them are yet to be delivered and amid Corona issues I am afraid that we may now see delays in deliveries as well as delays in signing deals for additional numbers.....

What I feel is Turkey did a mistake by choosing S400 over F35..... no doubt S400 is a powerful system but it's defensive in nature whereas F35 would have given you stealthy offensive punch.....

Offense is the best defense..... imagine Turkey with 200 F16 which you could upgrade to V standards in future and 100 F35s along with AWACS..... this would have added additional benefits in your own TFX program.....

Problem is not S400 or F35 .....The US will always use F35 as political card against Turkey

The US used F-35 card to save CIA agent BRUNSON
and now The US plays F-35 card against S-400 deal to ask Turkey for endless concessions
The problems between Turkey and the US are multilayered and very complicated. the S-400 just turned into a filter pushing other problems to the back burner

There are serious confrontation between Turkey and the US/Israel

-- the US/Israel wants to create free Kurdistan State in N.Iraq
-- the US/Israel wants to create PKK/YPG terror corridor in N.Syria to destroy Turkey's territorial integrity
-- Gas issue in the Eastern Mediterranean
-- the US used FETO terrorist organization since 2013 to destroy president Erdogan
-- the US wants to give whole Jarusalem to Israel and Turkey criticizes this dirty plan
