Brother from my understanding the Aegean is not a suitable place for a full blown AC since apparently the waters are to shallow but it is never the less still suitable for an LHD and Turkey does have a plausible need for an LHD.

The only place an AC would operate smoothly in Turkey's region is at the Black Sea theatre which the Black Sea is very deep, much more then the rest of the Aegean region. However I can imagine Russia going nuts if Turkey was to place an AC in the Black Sea on a permanent basis.
