Not many Indian anymore in PDF, even @Levina is also banned. In order to make PDF an international forum, PDF should not too harsh on Indian. Rather than intensifying the conflict, PDF can be a place where Pakistani and Indian can get along each other, thus will become positive platform to create peace between two rival nation. Even @Zarvan miss the old PDF where we can see many Indian hanging around.

Many Arab members are also left. The members that I see growing is Indonesian, Iranian, and Turkish. This site actually has so many potential to bring other nation members so it can become more international but in order to do so we need more freedom of speech in term of different point of view, only insult and fake news that should not be tolerated.

Quality of a forum is dependent upon the collective analytical skills/posts of the members, while I understand the reasons for nostalgia with old PDF it also tends to point in the direction that the quality of the members/poster and posts too have gone down.

Recently while going through one of my archived data I found out that I used to have an account on old forum probably deleted, saved few posts from that era and there were few gentlemen who took a distinct pleasure in abusing every one who differed from their POV, blatant abuses.

I have not been back on this forum for long again and find some of the "victims" have pretty flexible morality when they abuse someone then "its a forum for freedom of speech" but when the scale favors the counter party the mods become "too lenient"

As for the indians and bangladeshis after initial distaste of interacting with them on this forum I made up this particular signature, most of them are disgusting hateful people. They have every justification to hate everything about us, our country and yet they find the moral courage to remain here (beghariti) is more like it.

Mods are more like staff and they toe the official policy, if we don't like the mods or the board we could just leave the board not visit it again, if someone continues to whine it is more like an attention seeking syndrome. If we dont like the views of someone continuously we have the option of choosing to "ignore" the person. We are members here not the staff and this is not an assembly or a democratic institution, we should either choose to respect the staff decision, raise our concerns in the GHQ if we don't agree with something or just walk away.

I wish I could give you a positive rating for this.....
If the quality of the forum has gone down then the members are equally to be blamed along with the management.
People are getting influenced by fake news and media propaganda and then posting that same sh*t here....Tolerance levels have gone down on both sides, leftist as well as rightist. It is becoming a norm to insult someone if he/she does not agree with your view point.
@The Eagle @waz kindly ensure that there is uniformity in the moderation process.

Been asking everyone that we can choose to agree to disagree with respect and Mod(s) will be taking care of bigger issues. Unfortunately, Team is mostly busy with removing abuses from the forum and having numbers of posts by minutes; it ain't that easy to patrol every thread and post at the same time. All I see is, the few with habits to abuse in return or mock others having different opinion; aren't even showing any sign to change posting behaviour rather insist to continue as such and blames the moderation as well.

I have spent 10 years on this forum and I have to say that back in the time I used to feel that PDF gives too much leverage to the voices of the left, people with liberal views were given more space and I had complains about them but now it has become something else.

You cannot criticise the forces, you cannot criticise the government, it will invite abuse and the mods will not take action against it, no matter how many times you report it. Just yesterday, in a thread, that Faiz Festival girl was being called a "Randi", yes, the exact word, and it was not taken off, even after two reports.

I was sent a text in the inbox, about how I changed the title of the news article, when FWO shot unarmed protesters in Karachi, but other threads are left to stay where ex Prime Minister is being ridiculed.

CJP of this country was abused and called names, but if heads of other institutions are criticised, you get attacked.

PDF used to be a forum for people from all around the world for healthy debates. It never sided with one side explicitly, but now it does. Religious right is strong and thriving, the voices of dissent are silenced.

The mods of post-2014 era will take this forum down and in time we will reduce it to be another bharat-rakshak.

You literally post one liners which serve no purpose other than to derail or invite further trolls on India related threads. This has been the general trend among many of the posters here since A370.

It's understandable as a reaction to a provocation, but many times for no rhyme or reason it's the Pakistani members initiating the trolling.

A troubling pattern has also started to emerge, every few months similar threads have begun to crop up. They discuss the same issues and members propose solutions and while there have been some improvements, a further analysis is also needed.

Unfortunately, some folks are not able to see through the malicious intent of indian posters. After 27th Feb and 370, Indian trollers were gagged in large numbers. This led to realization that Indian bull-shittery won't be tolerated anymore and the nature of relationship has completely changed.
Indians then tried to be clever. They started posting again but used flags of foreign countries. However, just like their failed disinformation campaign( EU DISINFO) , they were again caught because after all , people who are experienced with dealing gangu filth have trained themselves to spot party poopers.

Now , these very same posters have employed a new tactic. They( Indian) posters are creating threads every week to demonize mods. Of course , some Pakistani posters also join their voices because of some personal vendetta against the mods / previous unpleasant history / previous bans and etc. Just look at the likes and supporters. It is always the same pattern.

Also , they will use catchy statements , " oh the mods are biased , " oh the forum quality has gone down " , " oh this forum won't allow differing voices ( what they mean is Indian voices ) " ----- > always masking their true intentions with palatable statements.

The english speaking Indians are actually clever in hiding their intentions and can play with words to mask their outright hatred. Hindi users don't do that. The opinions they hold against Kashmiris , Muslim women , Islam , Pakistanis are very revolting and if I tell you about them. You would most likely nuke whole ganga land.

I have been around this forum, since 2005 and those were the hay days. I use to be in of awe of quality of posts, wishing, some day I could write as well as those posters.

Any discussion forum is only as good as its Moderators. And I say this with absolute conviction, this forum has gone to dogs.

Current generation of moderators, The Eagle and more recently waz, have a big hand in reducing the quality of this forum. They are unfair, heavily biased, have given immunity to certain Pakistani members.

Look, I'm well aware there is going to be no tear shed over this; several may celebrate too. It has become obvious I have overstayed my welcome at nearly 5 years.

I miss the old PDF. It was known to appreciate civil debate to promote a respectful alternate point of view. The Moderator culture was one of encouraging diverse, challenging opinions. But in the last eight months, these forums have taken a very hard turn from what it used to be when @WebMaster was active here. People are now banned for no reason or made-up reasons and even for just having an alternate point of view. There is no longer the old practice of warning, pointing to a post for infractions and giving some explanation. It's all done quietly now; one does know which mod issued it any longer.

The tone got really ugly, real quick here: On a daily basis, a majority of the posts by members have turned ugly in its tone. Posts have alarming language- high instances of abusive, bigotry, and most surprisingly low tolerance of people of other faiths. There is just a lot of hate speech and seemingly freely permitted now.

I'm tired of the threats coming from some Moderators. Today- I got one thread deleted, which was about how Chinese women are checking for the gender of the baby in the womb (no idea why that was controversial, requiring deletion).
Then noticed some quiet infractions added on my profile (no notifications sent to me) after WAZ threatened me in a second thread I posted/started here -(https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/the-netherlands-luck-is-running-out.643622/#post-11902331).

Moderator Waz's actions, as you can see below in the screenshot I provided, went with an incorrectly assumed infraction, added it multiple times to help stack points against me. I have never faked my account; I have always maintained my background from the very first day I signed up years ago. I and many others are no longer being judged by the content of our replies, which was the practice here, but now on conspiracies behind our motives, and for having alternative views.

When I first joined, I had mentioned that I spent decades at the state department. Specifically, in the AF-PAK region, including India. That I visited Pakistan several times, India several times, a couple of visits to Afghanistan, and was considered a leading expert on my team for this theater.

This had made me a target when I began to add my opinions to countries in this region. I was taunted by some of being Indian, Isreali, and even a Bangladeshi citizen, at times. Yet, I was not bothered by it, because the moderator class was most always fair-minded and allowed the content of the posts to the ultimate judge on one's continued membership here. After all, even if you suspect citizenry, why care about one's flag, when discussing, debating policy and events.

Frankly, I'm sad to leave. I don't why being an echo chamber of the same views is the new direction here. In so many ways, this place is so unique and exhilarating to engage. I hope it course corrects itself sooner than later. Thank you.
