Not long ago there were reports about arrival of additional JOH teams and also arrival of SAT teams in Northern Iraq. Our guys are on the gates. I think preparation are going on and action will be done before the coming of the winter.

Good but the proposed border gate (if nothing changed) is on the territory of the KRG and the Iraqi government is not allowed to enter KRG areas.

It would be good news because the KRG used to impose their own tariffs on Turkish goods in the past.

That's what I mean, it's typical Erdogan. (if this news is true). Right after a meeting with Abadi, pulls off a stunt like this to make it look like Abadi agreed on it, which he doesn't. He cannot be trusted, Abadi is weak friendly to everyone.

I mean these raids are cool, but as long as we don't cross the border and sieze the control of khabur triangle from KRG/PKK and cut the connection between KRG and YPG, these raids don't have much meaning.

We should move in and cut the connection between KRG and YPG.

That would make no difference as Americans would just look to supply the YPG through the long border of Iraq with Syria. Unless it comes from Baghdad it has no severe impact, if Baghdad intends to stop it the Americans would not be able to use the remainder of Iraq-Syrian borders to supply the YPG.

Iraq is in no position right now to piss off the Americans, but opening another border crossing bypassing KRG would create a lot of oppurtunities. We could link each others electric grids too, addressing Iraqs electricity shortages for example and have a pipeline without KRG interference.

Correct me if I am wrong but AFAIK Iraq has no border with Turkey outside of official krg territory.

Yes that the point of the new border crossing, to create one without KRG interference. Lets see how its going to happen.
