Hindu God in human form Krishna's birthday is celebrated in Bangladesh. This is a public holiday. The Hindu festival Janmashtami will be celebrated throughout the country by Hindu Bangladeshis with tight security.
Carrying bags, sound system banned in Janmashtami procession

Dhaka Metropolitan Police commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mia has said carrying bags and using sound system will not be allowed in Janmashtami procession to be brought out on August 23.
He said DMP has taken special security measures for Janmashtami, the birth celebration of Sri Krishna and one of the major festivals of the Hindu community.
The DMP commissioner was addressing a coordination meeting on security and traffic management for Janmashtami procession at the DMP headquarters here on Monday.
Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad leaders, representatives of fire service, power division, WASA, Dhaka North and South City Corporations, Director General of Health Services, police headquarters, SB, NSI and DMP senior officials were present in the meeting.
The meeting decided that Janmashtami procession will be brought out from Dhakeshwari National Temple at 3:00pm and the procession will end at Bahadur Shah Park at 5:00pm on August 23.
