University of Agriculture, Faisalabad has decided to celebrate Sisters Day on February 14 to promote eastern values and Islamic culture.
Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 12th January, 2018) A university in Faisalabad has decided to celebrate ‘Sisters Day’ instead of Valentine’s Day on February 14.

According to details, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad has decided to celebrate Sisters Day on February 14 to promote eastern values and Islamic culture.

University of Agriculture Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar Iqbal Randhawa in his statement said that we are promoting our culture, values and Islamic traditions.

“We are preparing a plan to distribute scarf, shawls and gowns printed with UAF insignia among female students on the day,” the VC said.

“In our culture, women are more empowered and earn due respects as sisters, mothers, daughters and wife.

” He said that we were forgetting our culture and western culture was taken root in our society. The vice chancellor said that nations, which forget their cultural values, were diminished from the map of the world,” Dr Randhawa continued.

He said that preservation of culture was essential to maintain our identity and dignity in the world. Talking to students, he added that the youth must be inclined and devote their energies towards their education and knowledge, adding that in the modern era, only knowledge based economies.

He also inaugurated the signage titled “I love UAF” established near Clock Tower of the university.

compare the era of 90s with today and you will find how we are losing the war.

unfortunately yes but as my Prophet said there will always be a group in my ummah who will stay on the right path. i will try to be in that group.
