this forum needs some serious revision

firstly let me praise the layout and setup of the forum, its great with alot of effort clealry put into it also there are some great posters who i look to discuss things with.

however to be frank i see little point in calling it a pak defence forum when you cant even do the most basic thing - that is easily talk about pak related issues with other pakistani's.

almost every thread is swamped or becomes swamped with indians spreading their own propaganda and diverting every thread.

we cant even talk about our own issues in our own forums!!! whats the point!


since this is a pak defence forum we should have the intrinsic right to talk about whatever we want with no fear of being swamped by indians and others, yet we dont!!!



now dont get me wrong, i quite enjoy having other opinions, but within reason and to a limit, give them an inch and they take a mile

i suggest we revise the forum so that we have all the areas specific to pakistan exclusively for pak members or pro pakistan members.

dont worry, the indians pretending to be pakistani will always give themselves away


the indian and world sections can be somewhere where we can all discuss whatever and i dont mind what they do there, since atleast we have our own section to discuss without fear of being swamped




if you support this motion or some change will you please let it be known, atleast so i understand where i stand if i cannot change the way things are!!

You are not alone to feel the same, for someone who has passed through all the feelings you are currently experiencing, I suggest, you read my take on it:

1) This is an open forum, not Pakistan inclusive. :

By limiting it to Pakistanis, I think we would loose alot, rather than gaining, closing our doors, lets the ghetto mentality loose, sure you can boast about everything, but until and unless someone makes you realize the other side, the other point of view as well, its just fancy day dreaming with your ownself!!

2) Every one is welcome.:

I think, by having anyone and everyone, this open debate system makes people realize and discuss issues that cannot be possible otherwise. It expands your horizons and your mindset. As an example: Would you rather watch just PTV, or would you also be amused by India TV, CNN, BBC, Fox??

3) Quality not quantity!!!:

There are more Indians here, not because there are more Indians here but because, as compared to our Pakistani friends, our Indian brothers are more good at expressing their points of view.

Even then, whether Indian or Pakistani, if you can express yourself and your point of view in a sane, logical, well referenced/ researched manner, anyone and everyone be it Pakistani or Indian will acknowledge and accept it.

4) Ignore the Trolling!!!:

There are plenty of Trolls here, Do not feed them, whether they be Pakistani or Indian, as I said, Trolls are just Trolls, they dont have a nationality. Ignore them and move on.

If you cannot but be angry with them, genuinely, then there is the good old "Report Button", use it.

5) Logic has no nationality!!!:

Any logical and sane comment will be welcomed by all. You dont need to feel down when someone, especially if they are Indian, rejects you. There will be many others, who wont.

i agree with you on the whole, however my point is that there needs to be an area where pakistani's can discuss their own issues at peace, we dont have that - so why call it a pakistan defence forum? there are probably more active indian members, that tells its own story.

some parts can still remain open and i encourage this and enjoy other views, but ultimately what is the point of a pakistani defence forum if pakistani's cannot get together and discuss issues we want to wiyhout fear of being swamped

thereby i propose an area where pakistani's and pro-pakistani's can exclusively discuss issues at peace and ease.



the other indian/world affairs forums can have mixed people, there you go, everyones happy, as it stands its a bit of a joke to call it a pakistan defence forum when pakistanis cannot even talk at ease.



how is this forum a good place to discuss pakistani issues? - the laudable attempts at a utopia is failing miserably, you have to remember this is a defence forum.

thank you, i agree aswell, what a shame since its a good forum with a nice layout and good posters, lets see what the others think, i too enjoy having other views but want a pakistani exclusive area.

come on, these guys can easily be outed, they always expose themselves sooner or later, we can have a strict 3 strike system or something like that with hopefully a watchful and active mod looking over things.

come on jana, i would have thought you would have had a different attitude, we can easily come up with a system where indians and indian trolls are taken out and newbies are monitored or vetted, it depends if the mods are on board with this and how the rest of the forum feels.

i feel it would make this forum a proper pakistan defence forum.

It's a matter of respect and courtesy; you can't enforce it. I suppose you can report the post and have it deleted.

If the forum software allows posting restrictions by group, we can form groups based on nationality.

Oh they don't.In fact mods should give some sort of ban to these trolls..You've seen my recent Islamic Union thread where i clearly mentioned in OP that Indians dont post here b and trolls like vsdoc and other indian tools derailed the thread..

my feeling is that they are indifferent or would rather not annoy the nation that has allowed the offence to happen (for econoimic, politcal or other reasons), both are completely unacceptable imo.

if something of the enormity of the babri masjid incident does not compel other muslims and in particular the saudi's to speak out and act, then muslims of the sub-continent seriously need to re-examine our attitude towards the saudi's and the exact nature of their relationship

These are not pakistan's internal issue. This is another desprate india bashing attempt to portray hindu's in bad limelight as extremists, india as non-secular. And when other side comes up with its views, you simply want to ban indian members and sing a song.

There are numerous indian bashing threads on internet, request you to take your rhetoric there.

I will not dare disagree to r3ealist totally. There might be something he has noticed which we haven't. And what he said is based on facts. But I don't think there should be a "Safe Zone" for Pakistani posters. Why should we be afraid of other people's comments. Let them say and propagate what they want to but the world knows what is right and what is correct.

Consider it a battle where you can't just run away but fight and face the opposition. Stay here, face them and answer them. If they propagate or portray bad image of Pakistan than their country isn't of a square mile realm.

However, the atmosphere should remain friendly, it is not an actual war indeed.

What do you want to accomplish? Banning indian members from a thread and bashing out all your hate on them, even when indian muslims dont care about pakistan.
