Mumbai is a city of imbalance. With an estimated wealth of $950 billion, the city is the 12th richest in the world, ranking ahead of major urban centers like Paris and Toronto.

The slum runs up against the Maharashtra Nature Park, a green oasis amid a sea of concrete.

The former fishing village is characterized by dirty, narrow alleyways and open sewers — but not all conditions are bad.

In the center of the city, the #Dharavi slum — the largest in all of Asia — provides cheaper housing options for low-income residents.

Mumbai's slums sit at the heart of economy activity in the urban core. This has resulted in a unique geography, wherein packed single-story dwellings border the city's expensive high-rise buildings.

Why they should care about the poor by building houses for the poor they're busy buying fire works to put them in the top nation's with fire power!!!!!!!

During Saddam days we had the same mentality that's why our country with all the wealth is one of the least developed infrastructure and human development!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, slums before 1995 have been legalized. One thing you notice about these slums is that almost all of them have a dish antenna for Tata Sky or some other DTH service. But a whole bunch of them are not living in abject poverty. Dharavi's economy is estimated to be worth $1 billion.

As long as India keeps electing these self-serving leaders who promote war, occupation, and oppression against neighbors and minorities, India will always be held back.

I feel bad for these people living in these slums, that they are cursed with Modi and his ilk which is robbing them blind while filling them with Hindutva hate.

They make genuine leaders like Arvind Kerjiwal and his AAP into objects of hate and derision to prevent Indian people from fighting for their own rights.

no one gets rich without making someone poor.

Please explain.
As a tax paying businessman, I don’t think any of my actions or that of my company are making anyone poor, if anything, it’s adding employment, providing benefits and privileges to employees.
I find your statement to be quite sweeping and in much need of an explanation to understand your perspective.
Same goes for @Malik Alashter who seems to agree with you
