Villages resided by farmers who r always crying n dying.
A Decade ago i wanted everythng for everyone,,,but now,, i ask myself to what end?
They want everythng for free,,,healthcare, education, utilities, food, transport n everythng u can think of,,,,n ofcourse without paying any tax(direct),,they feel they desreve it

Reminds me of something...

This bread, it can eat a person)

The affects of prolonged poverty are difficult to imagine.

The knowledge, patience, self control in financial matters and other habits that lead a person to make smarter choice are aquired and not innate. Those amongst us who have had the fortune of born in homes where they received reasonable upbringing that allow us to avoid toxic behaviours oftentimes start to think that thinking the way we do comes naturally to us.

The cycle of poverty is hard to break. Just as wealth begets more wealth, poverty begets more poverty.

Add to all these the reality of today: the ability to see how poor you are compared to others. These days you can see how the rich live. There are constant reminders of what they have and what you don't.

Can we imagine the affects of knowing not only are you dirt poor but your children too will likely remain so? The damaging affects of the uncertainty of knowing one medical emergency and you have to choose between getting your loved ones medicine or a roof?

The state of mind that comes with wealth and its ability to shield you from some harsh realities versus the one that comes with poverty and its ability to make to face those harsh realities is not easy to imagine for most.

Point is, its easier to see the destructive behaviors of some of the poor, to see their lack of desire to pay taxes and desire to freeload. And wasting money on cigarettes and cable when they could save to better their lives like smart people, but it's much harder to see the socio-economic realities that shaped all those.

It is important to understand that just we are a product of our environment, the poor are also a product of theirs. They are not poor due to laziness, likely demotivated due to poverty.

Once you see the poor as humans and poverty as more than simply lack of financial resources, you can better formulate ways to eradicate it from your society.

Please explain.
As a tax paying businessman, I don’t think any of my actions or that of my company are making anyone poor, if anything, it’s adding employment, providing benefits and privileges to employees.
I find your statement to be quite sweeping and in much need of an explanation to understand your perspective.
Same goes for @Malik Alashter who seems to agree with you
Can you tell me why there are multi billionaire and multi millionaires?

When you buy goods for one dollar and you sell it for 5 or more you simply trying to make the consumers poor and you rich

In a mere span of 30 years the slum population has increased from 15 percent to 65 percent. If the poor from all North India allowed to build slums on government land for the sake of votebank. This is what you will get.

In 10-15 years slum population will become more than 80%. The city is already collapsing.

why not provide free and decent housing for them and redevelop slums into new urban regions?
We used to have like 50% of our urban dwellers living in horrible conditions in my hometown, now all moving to middle-class colonies.

To all the communists and socialists here -

This disparity exists because the labourers choose to live in these costly cities without having a high income. India can't afford to provide high wages to manual labourers, housemaid, janitors, etc.

A lot of the people living here could afford living in a small house away from the main city. But that would involve a slightly higher outgo in the form of rent and transport.
Indians have this tendency to save for the future. Most of us will live in the harshest conditions to avoid that.

Summing up- it looks bad, but it is by choice.

Side note - to avoid this situation, China has the permit system for migration.
