Pakistan should immediately start working on thermo nuclear project. The biggest challenge to producing a thermo nuclear detonation is the extreme heat that can only be produced by a fission device. Since Pakistan already possesses fission devices, therefore, it is well positioned to start a thermo-nuclear device. There is a dangerous aspect of maintaining the so-called minimum deterrence; often potential enemies do not percieve it as credible deterrent.

. .
The American pressure and President Musharraf's pro-American policies make me think that Pakistan might have compromised its nuclear policy. In the last eight years Pakistan has certainly made giant leaps in the area of conventional weapons but not any progress has been made in are of non-conventional weapons for the fear of American threats, that is my speculation. Whether my speculation is right or wrong that only Allah and President Musharraf know.:coffee:

T-Rex,
Rest assured Pakistan is improving its unconventional weaponary. R&D work on improving nuclear weapons is continuing. Presently USA is not in a position to put too much pressure on Pakistan and what ever they are saying is mere lip talk to please their own congressmen and senators. Nothing beyond that is happening. In fact this issue has sort of become irrelevant since Pakistan has tested nuclear devices and is now a declared nuclear state.
Requirement of minimum deterent does not mean that Pakistan is not going to improve its weapons and by the way minimum deterent requirement is reveiwed from time to time based on the scenario and can be revised.

Not really T-Rex! you see pakistan fired Babur, which suprised the whole world and took many by a jolt specially india. Pakistan then developed RA'AD an air to surface cruise missle. We improved shaheen-2 by changing its single motor into a two stage one thus improving its overall performance. We recently turned ghauri from a liquid fuel into a solidfuel missle thus reducing the time required to make the missile ready in case of a conflict and increasing its over all performance.

The things that i mentioned all happened in musharraf's era. So you cant say that neglected the unconventional capabilities of pakistan against US pressure. What he did is that he increased both the capabilites of pakistan side by side, enabling us to fight both conventional and nuclear warfare. Previously we were seriously lacking in conventional field meaning nuclear was our only line of defence. He deverses a hatoff for what he did in making pakistan stronger interms of military both conventionaly and un-conventionaly.

Bangladesh can form an alliance/union/confederation with Pakistan so that the cooperation in defense can start.

T-Rex,
I think Pakistan is not neglecting its defense especially after the tragedy of 1971 we can’t afford to neglect our defense capabilities. conventional weapons are also important and during Musharraf era we made a lot of progress in cruise missile technology and different weapons.

Be happy man! Pakistan is awaking.

I think it will no longer be possible for the Pakistani scientist to collaborate with other countries to build them nuclear weapons. AQ Khan is the case and an elaborate example. Pakistan helped Iran, Libya, and i believe Saudis to some extent.

the 1971 episode..........that is the singe biggest reason we developed our arsenal of WMD's. And we will use them if circumstances force us!

If not all the Muslim states, at least Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Egypt, Iran, Malaysia, Indonesia and Bangladesh should form a confederation. For the west it's a question of merely dominating others but for us it's a question of survival. However, the likelihood of ever happening this is very slim for almost all the Muslim governments are under the influence of countries like the US, UK or India and none of these countries are going to allow this to happen. They know very well that if that happens that will be the end of their domination. Countries like Egypt and Bangladesh badly need the nuclear enery but their governments are too submissive and too corrupt to exercise their sovereign rights.

For that you need BRAINS and MONEY. The former is there but the latter I doubt. Anyway no harm in having wet dreams.

Salamualikum,

I live in Saudi Arabia, from my birth, n boy i will tell u the reality Pakistani nationals face in Saudi Arabia, this is very true what Im goin to tell u, when u talk abut Saudi Arabia, u must know wut kind of people Saudis r!!!!!

Wut i have seen, i would describe Saudi nationals in the following words:

"Saudi's are mindless, sitting ducks, they r very proud which i hate, they are cowards, they cannot even defend their own country, they ask US to do that for them and they just can't see Pakistani's there, they want to kick us out as soon as they can, n one more thing Saudi's dont respect ANYONE!!!!!!"

I will tell u the case with Egypt, Egyptions should first think of protecting themselves against the ***** israel, then they can even think of forming a confederation with all the other Muslim countries!!!!!!

Now comes Bangladesh, SERIOUSLY I DONOT MEAN ANY OFFENCE HERE, do u want to know wut reputation Banglali's have in Saudi Arabia, they have destroyed themselves and their reputation there, this is a fact that I will tell u, one of my dad's friend he is Brigadier there in Riyadh, he is a Saudi, n he told my dad abut which country guys commit the most brutal crimes there, want to know the rankings, u'll be surprised:

1. Bangali's
2. Phatan's or Afghani's
3. Black African's
and the list goes on!!!!!!

I know Bangali's in Riyadh, boy they r real bad guys, u don't want to be near them when there are 4 or 5 of them, they love to fight without any reason, they love to take panga's with others around them and they r like palestenians!!!!!

Don't think Palestenians r good, if they were that good, they would not have been in the condition they r in right now, that's a fact!!!!!!

Now i come to ur sentence of "However, the likelihood of ever happening this is very slim for almost all the Muslim governments are under the influence of countries like the US, UK or India and none of these countries are going to allow this to happen" u see there is a big problem here u see the word india, wut do u think muslims all around the world r afraid of india, u must be kidin boy, they r COWARDS, u can see that in the 3 wars that they fought with us they could not even come somewhere near lahore in 65 war, n even Kargil indians were helpless they couldnot do anything with all their SO CALLED MILITARY MIGHT!!!!!

u talk abut india, india aint nothin, they cant influence their poor people n u talk abut them influencing Muslim countries, this is the worst thing i could have heard from a Muslim Brother, u tell me have they ever influenced Pakistan, if they can't pressurize us they cannot pressurize any other Muslim country, cause when it comes to Power right now boy, n this is a fact in Muslim countries, our PROUD NATION is the strongest no one not even US dares to dream of enterin PAK Land, so india ain't nothin!!!!!:pakistan:

ALL WUT IS SAID IN THE POST MEANS NO OFFENCE TO ANYONE.

woah tiger, calm down. there's no need to get into racial mode here, we're all muslims, let's remember that. pakistan already has 15,000 troops in saudi, excluding trainers, pilots, technicians, etc. we used to have troops in qatar.

imagine having naval or air force bases in saudi and maldives, we'd control a vast amount of the indian ocean and territory. not economically viable? That's where funding from GCC countries starts pouring in and hopefully that can also boost our R&D, once they realize pakistan is the way to go.

we have intelligence consulates in saudi, other GCC countries, bangladesh, and who knows where else. this may sound like a wet dream to you, but it is possible if we can convince the muslims that pakistan is the key to muslim might revival.

unfortunately, the western world is trying to get rid of that. they already destroyed the BCCI, the main financial vehicle of the isi, with assets of over $23 billion during the 80's. now they want pakistani leaders to dismantle the isi, which unfortunately, a certain leader running for prime minister wanted.

.
if anyone can remember, pakistani scientists were ready to conduct tests for a hydrogen bomb and a neutron bomb soon after the initial six tests.

indian news outlets reported that pakistan was going to test the hydrogen bomb in 2000. Allah hu Alam(Allah knows best)

.
I aint gettin racial here, but wut im tellin is the reality that Pakistani's face in Saudi Arabia!!!!
