The reality of Indian chopper in Gilgit

The chopper was on display since October 1997, there was no Chetak lost near Loc around that time and absolutely no news of pilots being captured by Pakistan in that time time period.(1993-1997)
There are no records of Chetak crash landing our capture to in that Tim period:

And no Pakistani has been able to explain why the display looks like a repaired wreckage if it was captured when it landed in minimarg and is devoid of any squadron markings.
You are trying very hard to salvage something out of very obvious. Firstly go through the link you posted and see how many INDIAN ARMY losses have actually been mentioned in the 55 years of the database, and the subject does belong to the IA.
If one is to believe the Indian stories (There are always several versions of Indian excuses) how come it crashed in Pakistan territory, what was it doing there in the first place and for a crashed helicopter, the almost complete glass cockpit is completely intact. So no it never crashed but was captured while it was involved in spying activities. The unit badge on the tail is should suffice any one finding it difficult to digest.

From this pivture it was painted over and it is clear that it was badly damaged in a crash.
Intact this proves the theory that it was probably a wreckage in Siachen or in LoC.
There are absolutely no reports if any Indian helicopters getting captured in Pakistan.
You absolutely failed to provide any source mentioning that Indian helicopter pilots were captured in Pakistan.
Keep harping the same tune until you start believing yourself.
We have heard all the excuses in the Indian dictionary since 1959 when your Canberra on a spy mission was shot down over Pakistan and the story continued with forcing down of your Oragan/Toofani, the Gnat surrender, when a AN-32 had it's engine shot off, the current subject, even when one IA chopper was allowed to return or when a shot down drone revealed inside of some IA camp.....wonder why the weather is always bad on Indian side or why do Radios and Radars on Indian aircraft malfunction but hey lets just deny everything and all your troubles are gone.

At least we didn't go crying like a little girl to some international tribunal when we smoked your Atlantique to ashes along with everyone inside.
No you just go whining like a dummy sucker begging US and Russia not to sell us arms to Pakistan and little care on how the sea life is having a feast on your AN-32 Cargo.

And we flog a dead story again.

On topic: no one fires on a heli in LC region. But then, anyone who has served there, would be knowing it better. 2009, there was a fire on a Pakistani post (due to kero heater) opposite Tilel Valley in winters. A Pakistani Mi-17 came with emergency rations to drop on the affected post. But missed the post and started hovering over an Indian post.

The Indian post had Igla. But did Indians fire? No sir! The Company Commander at the post got an Indian flag out and started waving to the hovering helicopter which was planning to make a drop. The Pilot acknowledged and the company commander pointed in direction and the helicopter went in the pointed direction.

Such stories are common on both sides. Soldiers are human. During a casualty evacuation in 2012, an Army Aviation helicopter from Indian side went across LC to make an approach. As there was no helipad, it had to do a hover evacuation. No intimation of overflight was given to Pakistani post opposite. The Pakistani soldiers got out and got on radio to ask if any problem had occurred. They did not fire at all as the helicopter went well into their airspace to make an approach. As high altitude region and winds were tail winds the direction of approach had to be modified.

The helicopter went back. Took off its doors and came back, again going into Pakistani side and then got the casualty evacuated. No one bothers.

Only on this forum do I see people who have never ever served a single day and neither will, put up pictures with guns and snipers as their display pic and what not and come all 'blazing' as if they are fighting a war!

LC is much more peaceful.

@-xXx- enjoy Tom Clancy!

it is Mig-21 story of ours, the Pakistani version.

Ok, this is a defence forum aka social networking site, you have experts, TTs, professionals, armchair generals and fan boys, we debate, we argue and agree to disagree and move on....in a few days the picture and thread will become archive......tomorrow is another day.
Now let me ask you, what's the purpose, reason or logic for the Indian authorities to paint an Indian jet in Pakistani colours and mount it on display outside some military establishment.

Indians have a history of leaving flyable or slightly damaged aircrafts in Pakistan. There was the Ouragan in 1964 which was forced to make a belly landing in Pakistan. I have saw the plane Peshawar. It's is in pretty good shape but I am surprised it not kept at the Airforce Museum in Karachi. Maybe the reason is that the star of the museum is another IAF jet, a Gnat that was forced to land in Pakistan in flyable condition in 1965 and infact was subsequently flown by PAF pilots. I have also seen the helicopter in Gilgit. It had original Indian markings. The engine and some other parts were salvaged and used by the Army. It was painted over subsequently. The only thing Indian have to show for themselves is their own Mig 21 with a Pakistani flag painted over and they still want to be Internet warriors on a Pakistani site, indeed laughable!

Compare the Indians leaving their planes in Pakistan to what a PAF flying officer did to the plane and his Bengali instructor, who tried to hijack the T33 to India.

Spot on.

Sadly PDF is becoming a hub for teenagers, trolls and keyboard warrior while wet their pants if they ever served in the army. Of course there are exceptions of good posters but most hypernationalist teengers.

You know a bit too much about everything, sadly. I swear PDF in this state is still better than Afghanistan as a country. Thanks and never mind

Sometimes I wanna tell you and I really wanna tell you that I don't want to hurt you. Being the only afghan poster here, I follow your posts at times. But you and your country are strange, sharing borders with us. I know what has been going on and what has been the past between the two, I wonder if you people ever had the courage and depth to analyze your own behaviors as well as your nation as such. I am not very happy with the status-quo.
