The ideology behind Lee Rigby's murder is profound and dangerous: Blair

The problem within Muslims is a deep-rooted one with long and very complicated histories. Each and every Muslim nation has its unique history.

Colonial-minded morons like B-Liar should be the least of people's concerns. Why do people even give any hoot about that guy anyway?

All that is left is for Muslim nations is to politically and socially mature more so that they are sustainable and progressive on every front. External interference only hinder that process.

Iran is a perfect example. Did the CIA-MI:6 sponsored coup achieve anything in the long term? The results today show for themselves.

Beyond ad hominems, how do you respond to TB's assertion that there is a common link, beyond colonial legacy and more recent external interference that links so many conflicts across the Middle and Near East? Why have many non Muslim countries which were similarly brutalised by 'Imperialists' in the 19th/20th centuries proven more resilient and have since become thriving democracies with fledgling economies? Why is it that countries like Indonesia, guided by the Indo/Buddhist national doctrine of 'Panchasheel' and Turkey with its militant secularism are poster children of the Islamic world, rather than Saudia with its phenomenal oil wealth??

@humanfirst
Since you and I have always enjoyed exchanging thoughts and ideas about counter terrorist activities, would you kindly comment on the topic? I would be very interested to hear from you.

KSA is a different story, so you really can't compare apples with oranges. However, as a Saudi, this may come as a shock yo you but the people of KSA have suffered from terrorism just like any other nations, but the media will never cover something like this ever. Suffice to say that my school was a target 13 years ago, so what was our fault? :/

War criminal Tony Blair lecturing others on morality and ethics? This man should face an international tribunal.

That isn't you only. In fact, many British nationals consider him a war criminal.

I already responded to his assertion.

His country's problem, look into it. No need to address other countries. It only make matters more complicated, and not solve the actual problems inherent in Britain.

What happened to Lee Rigby is a problem within British society. And not that of global society.

Heck, there were US marines who attend 4th of July parties at the Westin, Dhaka. Do we see any nutjob stabbing them or any Westerner in a Muslim-majority country? Or in any Muslim majority country for that matter? Those guys even man bases in the middle east. What does he or you have to say about that?

Heck, even armchair warriors like Anjem Choudhry freely make death threats and justifying that poor chap's murder. And he and his ilks still run around free. Yet, trolls on Facebook get jailed for trolling against UK's armed forces

Better look into that matter.

That isn't you only. In fact, many British nationals consider him a war criminal.

I got the term "B-Liar" from a Brit for that matter

Tony blair should have thought about his acts while he was in office. It is due his policies UK is in this state, his policies allowed every tom dick and harry with fanatic agenda to get in UK. And its there problem that UKBA is sitting on its a$$. The guy was on mi5 list, his brother was already working with mi6 so how could he slip away like this.
Mr.blair think about your own country which is going to a pothole because of all that tax fraud and benefits claim.....

My condolences. The fact that you are perfectly happy to accept life in an oppressive fiefdom in return for sucking off the teat of Al Saud is not the rest of the world's problem. As an Arab from the cradle of Islam, your Arab and Muslim identities are so closely linked that you do not find it necessary wear your religion on your sleeve whereas for a non Arab Muslim, his Islamic identity has to assume primacy over national identity for him to be regarded as a true Muslim (at least in many Muslim eyes as evidenced by the treatment on many Indian Muslims on this forum) which in turn gives rise to sectarian and separatist tensions.

You also live in a country where the indigenous population is wholly Muslim and where all public displays of non Muslim faiths are outlawed and hence fewer opportunities for conflict. As to the occasional acts of terror within the KSA, it stems from a combination of factors, including opposition from a Qutbite version of political Islam which views the current regime as lackeys of the West and seeks its overthrow in favour of a more Sharia compliant governance model.

However, recent troubles in the wider Islamic world have largely been on account of attempts by the Saudis to impose their version of Islam, with its Arab traditions, customs, absolutist and authoritarian ideology on the rest of the Ummah in order to legitimise the Saudi regime and expand their sphere of influence. This has subsequently brought non Arab Muslim societies, which had hitherto practiced relatively more inclusive and tolerant versions of the faith, into chaos and conflict...

There is Nothing called Radical Islam, Moderate Islam.

There is Only Islam.

There is Islam of Rumi and then there is the Islam of Syed Qutb..

Which one is yours??

I have seen more extremism in Muslims living in European countries than people living in Muslim Nations. Wahabism is spreading in UK and EU like a virus. Not everyone is a culprit here but because of this extremist behaviour other muslims are facing discrimination as well.

Let us use the example of supposedly secular India that become independent in 1947 and take a look at it now. Full of communal tensions and a not fledgling economy. After 65 years of independence, India still cannot guarantee all it's citizens 3 square meals. Islam cannot be blamed here or is the fact that India has a Muslim minority and is surrounded by Muslim countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh the where the blame lies?

Indonesia is still a relatively poor country. Turkey had the advantage of not having to go through colonialism as most other Muslim countries had to. A better example would be Malaysia which pretty much built itself up from scratch to now become a moderately developed economy and looks set to become "rich" within the next decade.

Islam is not the problem but other factors like the quality of governance and foreign interference.

And any white person gone crazy killing people in theatres and schools means there is a problem with the mental state of the culprit right?

i want this HYPOCISY to STOP.... its not fair blaming one incident on relgion and another on the brain

Those whites don't shout hail Jesus while committing their crime. The Muslims shout Allah hu Akbar and justify killing of kafirs from passages in Quran
