Oh please do enlighten us on this version of history.
You mind sharing how many innocent lives were taken during the expansion of ottoman empire?
how many civilians were killed, any record of the war crimes?
Did they CAS on civilians?

are you insane?
do you actually believe that they expanded by beeing welcomed everywhere by those who got invaded?what next? actually there was no siege,the people of Constantinople opened the gates themselves and threw their emperor of the wall to receive the ottomans? Conquered christians were giving their children willingly to became janissaries? everybody welcomed muslim invaders with flowers?millions upon millions died and nobody here on PDF gives a damn! They all miss the good ol' days,but when it comes to western expansion...oh,Heaven forbid!..."They murdered,they looted ,they raped" guess what buddy...you did it to!

You people are not actually upset about the crimes,you're upset because others can do it,and not you,none of you cared to apologise for what happened in history but many of you have the audacity to even complain about the crusades,the crusades for God's sake,the crusades that happened 800 years ago! I have seen more extremism in Muslims living in European countries than people living in Muslim Nations. Wahabism is spreading in UK and EU like a virus. Not everyone is a culprit here but because of this extremist behaviour other muslims are facing discrimination as well.

Yeah, we can see how bad unemployment is over there....

Indonesia is still a relatively poor country. Turkey had the advantage of not having to go through colonialism as most other Muslim countries had to. A better example would be Malaysia which pretty much built itself up from scratch to now become a moderately developed economy and looks set to become "rich" within the next decade.

Islam is not the problem but other factors like the quality of governance and foreign interference.

Malaysia was a British colony.

Indonesia was a Dutch colony.
