Not just American.this is the kind of american arrogance that makes one's blood boil in her veins. i know nothing of the former ambassador's guilt or innocence, but his nation's supreme court has taken up the case now and to say that the court's handling of the case is somehow a "test" and subject to american approval is an insufferable insult to pakistani dignity.
Because, like them, you want to continue exploiting your subject populace and crushing their hopes while suppressing your own fears of removal, yes, a powerful statement indeed!Supplies lines should remain closed, and our leaders should go have tea with Ahmadinejad and Jong Un, to let these dogs know there will be consequences for continuing to meddle in our internal affairs.

Geneva is in Switzerland; the ICJ isn't an American outfit. Sorry if that wasn't clear.Where was Geneva for Aafia Siddiqui? I think you Yanks have a lot of explaining to do.

very well written article with a lot of insight..
it sure is
nothing left for imagination
a job well done by Mrs Haqqani from US front too while Mr Haqqani languishes in PM house and has all the Govt assets at his disposal.. while he ensures that the "like minded" journalists and Analysts in Pakistan build a good case for him in public. Mrs Haqqani ensures that feature length articles grace the mainstream media to show the first world what GEM of a person this Haqqani is.
Rest assured, he will be a “free” man soon and back to the land of free and brave and resume his age old practices. The courts and judges are being maligned on daily bases and the military stands accused of heavy handedness, Mansoor Ijaz has been bullied and harassed from PM to Interior minister to an ordinary PPP worker already and his chances of coming to Pakistan seems very slim, hence Haqqani has the case in his pocket.
I am not the USG and neither is the ICJ.It was completely clear, but my point is it's awfully funny when the US needs to put pressure they go to Geneva
Less credible than Pakistan? That's a very tall order that America hasn't accomplished yet - not that the U.S. has tried to.These kind of double standards just makes the US look less credible -
As a loyal Pakistani do you consider it your duty to advocate one-sided propaganda or investigate and tell the truth (facts in their context) to your fellow Pakistanis?
Now you're talking! Certainly it's unusual for a country to be so solicitous of a former ambassador's health. It's obvious the truth will be out when Haqqani is tried in court, but what I don't understand is why the US is trying to cover for their man.
Thus, the fate of Hussein Haqqani is taken as an indicator of whether or not Pakistan will continue its slide into anarchy and ultimately tyranny or if it can turn itself around and re-establish civilian supremacy. His demise, politically or otherwise, indicates a coup; his resurrection to office and power, restoration.
