What's new

The end of the deal, hopes, delusions and treasons

Conservative/reformist is just a name used by actors to fool Iranian people, it's a show, nothing changes.
But lets end this nonsense rumor once and for all by seeing the list of presidents of Islamic republic:

1980-1981: banisadr dismissed because of being against clerics, conservative Rajai took his place, but was assasinated within a month.
Conservative Khamenei: 1981-1989
(pragmatic) conservative Rafsanjani, who co-created IRGC: 1989-1997
Reformer Khatami: 1997-2005
Conservative Ahmadinejad: 2005-2013
Rouhani: centrist, however backed by reformist, now critisized by reformist.

Reformist-conservative theatre is only created by khamenei and his corrupt circle to fool Iranian people. We need a new constitution and new system, a parliamentary Iranian system wherein Islamic republic party can compete next to other parties, If they are lucky and forgiven for their crimes and mismanagement in the last 40 years.
If they stay stubborn and don't change we will drown all together.
Actually it's Reformists who try to show themselves as opposition to gain votes, sometimes by playing hardcore Islamists, sometimes by playing the absolute opposite.

---------
BaniSadr a true reformist (and CIA payed agent) who committed treason during Iran-Iraq war and finally escaped to west alongside the head of MKO terrorist group.

Rafsanjani which later showed his true face and became the godfather of reformists, the man who when in power, was using people like Akbar Ganji (who was playing Islamists) to stick thumbtack in the forehead of girls. (Akbar Ganji who later showed his true face as well and joined his masters in west)

Conservative Rajaii who was assassinated by MKO terrorist group.

Rouhani the Reformist's candidate, who follows the very same reformist policies but used moderate title to firstly avoid the dispopularity of Reformists and secondly to advertise conservatives as extremists.

------------

nonetheless these titles are dead now, now it's just a fight between national Islamists and pro-west seculars.
a fight between those who want to solve the problems by relying on domestic potentials and those who want to solve the problems by firing scientists, closing R&D centers, and importing everything from shits to assembly lines.

No one has any different idea/plan in this country, no matter who is in charge, he will choose one of above policies, so you have to hold your wet dreams for now.

You're a pan_islamist communist (velayat faghi branch). It's a failed Idea. We Saw Isis going down, same happens with other pan-islamists. The funny thing is that your failed ideology of Islamic Republic which mixed communism into caliphate/pan-islamist ideology is the most succesfull version of all caliphates in the past 100 year. This makes it extra sad.

I think you could very well be right, personally I hope not,but sadly we live in very troubled times currently,so who really knows.

Iran’s government and its institutions are more worried about blaming both outside and domestic forces as well as other elements of government for their problems than acknowledging the problems and ADDRESSING them. They refuse to reassure their domestic population that the situation is under control.

The current currency crisis is a prime example. They are failing to calm concerns and reassure the population, hence why demand for dollar far outweighs supply, your currency rapidly depreciates.

The Central Bank and government authorities have done a poor job in managing this crisis.

It doesn’t matter whether it’s reformist or conservative it’s the same coin. Neither would want this to happen because then they all suffer.

While Iran has a fractured power base with many different playmakers they all want the survival of the government. Iran is at a crossroads, hopefully they have plan in place.

I read an article that said that the government of Iran is purposely letting the situation get worse in order to prepare for negotiations where it makes major concessions to the West.

Basically, Iran wants to save face by saying they are forced to agree to major concessions due to severity of situation.

Can Iran survive under the snap back sanctions or will it be forced to come back to the negotiation table?

with no doubt, certain elements in this government have that goal.
one example:

Rouhani: EU Package on Extending Nuclear Deal 'Disappointing'

During talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani described as disappointing the package of proposals to preserve the Iran nuclear deal submitted by France, Britain and Germany, according to a statement posted on Rouhani's official website on Thursday.

"Unfortunately, the proposed package lacks a practical solution and a specific method for continuing cooperation and simply reiterates the general nature of the commitment, similar to what the European Union did in its statements earlier," Rouhani stressed, calling the proposals "disappointing."

Just out of idle curiosity is anyone else here as shocked as I am at this totally unexpected outcome?
