Anyway the truth is that we are all lazy and don't even try to understand or educate ourselves about our own religion. This is where people like the one in pic above come in and spread false information and use that to spread their narrative.

I thought that we are allowed to marry with people of the book (jews, Christians, muslims).

Its said that for women its not allowed to marry non muslims, but for men they can marry jews and chritians but evn here there is a bit of a debate that they cant marry just about any christian or jew woman, it is believed that those women from judaism and christianity are allowed who believe in oneness of God.
But it should be encouarged that both muslim men and women marry within their own group.

I have a cousin who teaches kids at an american school where a lot of pakistani and other ethnicity kids are enrolled, he was sharing that majority of kids studying there, their parents have done interfaith marriages where fathers are pakistanis but mothers are nonmuslim goris etc and kids are very distant from islam.

Anyways, its a marriage thread i dont like turning it into religious one or atleast not the overzealous way some members are going. Plus i would also say that its not just muslim women and non muslim mens marriages that will distance away kids from islam , same results happen even in muslim father and nonmuslim couples.

I think i have heard 70 hoors was for shaheeds, i do believe in following hadees but i think 70 hoors doesnt sound very strong narration , i mean just thinking logically. And then why everything needs to revolve around this topic? If we read quran it mentions everything about beauty of heaven and says its a place beyond ones imagination. The beauty of heaven described consists of so many mentions of greenery and natures beauty. Had it not been for such beautiful descriptions of orcahrds and greenery , lakes and rivers mentioned in quran i honestly would have never learnt to cherish coolness of eyes that nature offers us in this world.Reading those verses taught me to appreciate mountains, lakes ,scenic locales , trees and so much more.

Also iman that is built on lust of women is not truly iman thats something else.
