TF-X Turkish Fighter & Trainer Aircraft Projects

We were going to choose an engine vendor by 2018. We are now at the end of the first quarter of 2018 and no sign of engine. I dont want to be pessimistic but at this rate TFX will also face the fate of ANKA.

There is so much misinformation here. Data of TFX in the chart is given in maximum thrust, while the others are given in dry thrust. (Note that the 20000 lbf in this chart most probably refers to EJ200 or similar)

For this chart to make sense either TFX engine thrust should be changed to 2x13500 lbf (assuming EJ200 or similar class is still being considered) or F-22 should be changed to 2x35000 lbf, F35 to 43000 lbf and etc.

Also note that Temel Kotil said the maximum thrust of the new engine will be 27000 lbf. That doesn't even come close to the 35000 lbf of the F-22 and thus TFX will not be the fighter with most thrust in its class.

Here is a summary depending on engine choice:

TFX 2x27000 lbf (assuming new engine) or 2x20000 lbf (assuming EJ200)
F-22 2x35000 lbf
F-35 1x43000 lbf

He said "Turkey works on it's own engine with 27000lbs thrust" he never said something about dry or maximum thrust.

Well I doubt that the 27000lb is meaningless. It must refer to something. Either dry or maximum thrust.
Usually when an engine is said to be of X thrust, maximum thrust is implied. Nobody classifies afterburning engines according to their dry thrust.

  • The EJ2x0 with 20% growth compared to the original EJ200. The EJ2x0 engine will have dry thrust increasing to some 72 kN (or 16,200 lbf) with a reheated output of around 103 kN (or 23,100 lbf).
Stage 2:

  • The new engine plan to increase the output 30% more power compared to the original EJ200. The engine will have dry thrust of around 78 kN (or 17,500 lbf) with a reheated output of around 120 kN (or 27,000 lbf).

10k core? Is there any details? 10k core or CPU? Which architecture?

Is it CPU+GPU hybrit?
(I hope it is; because if it is not; then we are wasting huge amount of money considering the application needs for design&simulation which is generally vector based. )
