Naval version was rejected cause of being heavy for carrier operations & not double engine.
Even JF don't have naval version.

Well it will be operational but be aware that according to time it has adopted all modern goodies.Today's configuration of Tejas is well different than the one from the paper when the project was started.
As per specification it beats JF anyday.
