Its for creating a platform like US special forces command that executed Osama Bin Laden operation inside pakistan.

- For it we need to provide satellite, UAV, helicopters, aircraft, best equipments, training, intelligence jointly to Indian ARMY+IAF+IN+RAW+NSG

So that they can jointly work and achieve goals with ease.

- Its for next generation of warfare and anti terrorist missions.

We have a situation where one SF is overburdened and other SF is not facing the action a SF should be facing.This JSOC will try to sort this out.Moreover it will help us to use our resources to full potential and increase inter operatibilty.

If our SFs have not carried operations outside the borders doesnt mean it wont in future..and even if they have done operations you and me would never come to know about it.


I am hoping if this JSOC is formed and MARCOS carry out the modernisation like they have planned for in the next few years then i think there is a chance that PARA and GARUDS will also get the upgrades the MARCOS will be getting.

Mate from what I know and have heard, the IA/IAF SF will more than likely get similar (not identical for obvious reasons) FCS as MARCOs around the same time/a bit later as MARCOs get theirs (~2013/14).

And no, RAW should NOT be in operational control of this JSOC- that would be ridiculous and unnecessary.

SOC won't have NSG only Army SF, MARCOS, Garudas.It would be under MOD and since NSG is under Home Ministry I don't see them being in the SOC.

Training also would be conducted by the Parent Branch and would be different for all three as it is now.I hope equipment is same except for some special equipment required for each of SF's varying needs.

I also hope they take the best from each of the SF's and form a smaller group much like the Polish GROM that is also under the MOD.

I don't think that is what is envisaged nor called for. JSOC will comprise all three armed forces SOFs in their entirity as well as support and aviation assets. For a smaller SOF drawn from these look into Special Group (SG).
