And pls stop saying they have hit 500 yards inside, they have hit much deeper, outside artillery range. The artillery assault was this morning.

Pakistani military pounds terrorist sanctuaries across Afghan border: sources

RAWALPINDI: Pakistani forces have targeted terrorists based across the Pak-Afghan border, military sources said late Friday, following a week of deadly terrorist attacks in the country left over a hundred people dead.

The strikes were conducted hours after Afghan embassy officials were summoned to the Pakistan Army's General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, where they were handed over a list of 76 terrorists orchestrating terrorist activities in Pakistan from Afghan soil.

Pakistan has repeatedly warned Afghan authorities to prevent the use of their soil for terror activities in Pakistan.

Pakistan had demanded the Afghan officials to take action against these terrorists or hand them over to it.

There has so far been no official confirmation regarding the developments from the Pakistani military or government, but informed sources told Geo News that the army targeted Jamaat-ul-Ahrar sanctuaries across the border of Khyber and Mohmand tribal agencies.

The camps were situated on the Afghan side of the pourous border.

The army targeted four terrorist camps in Friday's strikes, besides destroying a training compound of Jamatul Ahrar, sources added.

There have been reports that several militants, including deputy commander of Jamatul Ahrar Adil Bacha, were killed in the strikes.

my sources confirmed pak army did not used live ammo but used dummy shells just for sound like they fire on 21 gun salute

Even if they were just artillery strikes , they might be symbolic but would count as a bold move. People here at this forum are looking at the armed forces as punching bags. You guys have seen to many hollywood movies. We arent the Israel , we dont have the diplomatic cover to invade other countries.

You guys seem to forget that we are a third world country try to fight a war with limited resources and tbh even after the recent surge we are not back to square one at all. We are now on the brink of preemptive strikes.

USA did it in past if we have pin point location then why not fire them ? afghans will do nothing . babur is made same as tomhawk same porpuse same system but we made for rust them in storage and real nations used them

Yeah we have the required firepower and manpower to carry them out but have you thought about , What implications would these strikes have on our relations with the world. Would our allies back us ? Do we have the necessary diplomatic cover , can we bear the brunt of sanctions ? Try to see the bigger picture here. No offense buddy ! but lets be rational about this. This is Pakistan we are talking about here. Unlike Turkey we arent part of Nato , unlike Israel we dont have the US's backing.
