The leopard inspired slanted turret is a very good design , it the tank manages to find a hull down/downwards slant position due to angle of incoming penetrators the effective armour depth increases a lot

@Signalian what do you think about acquiring the T-64s in large numbers with new weapons, engine and transmission? Should be relatively cheap and provide better protection (with an upgrade) than the T-90 (??)

add to that new suspension new final drive new tracks...the lightweight supension of the T-64 is a endless source of problems and the supension itself is even for soviet standart shit... after shooting the tank bounce around like a drunken monkey till it is a stable platform again..mllion miles away from state of the art stable tank chassis. whith all the things need to be change simple develop something from scratch

Probably still better than the T-55 base being used for the AZ
