The problem is not if he is a good or a bad player, but his intent. I mean I'd be OK with if he faces 5 balls and tries playing aggressive and gets out each time but getting out after 20-30 balls and scoring 15 runs in T20 is pure selfishness.

It mounts more pressure for the middle order and gives them less roam to build innings. He can get out on single digits as many times he wants but don't waste balls and playing tok tok. Or let others have a chance. Just look at the new Haris guy.

Every Pakistani player plays well initially.

you guys only got it recently and have clearly (and sadly) not ever been up to the mark but for the rare occasion a local dustbowl or in the under 17s or something.

Mostly he should give up captaincy, he's like Tendulkar or Dravid in that sense too. The quietest but most talented guys in the team, built for scoring runs, not rallying the troops, as it were. (not as captain anyway, coach Dravid is more at home working in the shadows)

'Lead by example' more his (Babar's) thing than being a leader of men.. in the sense that Alan Border, Clive Lloyd, Ponting, Dhoni, Imran Khan etc were.
