Why have we forgotten our secular roots now when we need them most?

It will take years, perhaps decades for our people to see secularism as the useful system it is. Currently your and many other muslims ego goes against it. Suckularism has been with us for centuries and still it is a hostile idea among the vast majority of ordinary Muslims, all the Mughal emperors except Aurangzeb were suckular monarchs.
