Syed Talat Hussain Column on Malala Book

@Slav Defence

The West didn't put a bullet in her head - the bearded terrorists did citing the same holy book and their irrational and barbaric and rigid interpretation of it . The Pakistan's ill advised and nothing short of a blunder participation in the Afghan so called Jihad - where the Muslims fought between themselves for power and domination after the Soviet withdrawal and the Musharraf's decision to save Pakistan have nothing to do with a little girl - which the extremists tried to silence just because she criticized them and they weren't comfortable with her beliefs . Do you see the insecurity of this lot ?

.
Your favorite - The " moral equivalents of American founding fathers " come to mind :D @jaibi The West or anyone else doesn't need anything or anyone else , as long we have people like you destroying the country . I do not see you Simply indifferent to reasoning and logic and facts .

Trust me,they will also cry and blame 'amreeka' if Malala will fart in a bathroom:D

Trust me,they will also cry and blame 'amreeka' if Malala will fart in a bathroom:D

But of course , since the West and specially the Americans are responsible for almost all of Pakistan's problems , the nation can go sleep tight and keep on waiting for the savior and do nothing herself :D How's that now ?

.
Slaves off west are too loyal to their masters other wise from day one it was clear west is now going to use malala as a tool against Islam and Pakistan and her book and support off Rushdie is clear she is another puppet west will use her for sometime and than bring new one and slaves off west will than run after that @Secur @Slav Defence @forcetrip

Sometimes it makes me wonder..... What are people who believe in extreme values, extremism and have extreme views in Pakistan?

Slaves of wannabe mullahs? Slaves of mullahs distorting Islam and what it really is? Delusional fools or simply gullible people with a such sheep in a herd mentality that they will stop to think logically, listen to people with other views and support some random mullah who is spouting venom?

Sadly there are too many wannabe mullahs and conspiracy theorists in Pakistan who are fooling the youth and putting poison in their minds...

Why is only Malala targetted? Why don't you guys target those extreme bigots as well? Why dont you guys stand against them?

Why oh why oh why..............

The opening statement in which the author admits to NOT having read the girl's book(Which as such is written in Christine Fair's prose and most likely 70% her words) and yet passes judgement on it. That being said, the author is NOT wrong about the status of the girl as a poster child of the East(the one that the west likes to see) and more importantly as a tool to brandish and taunt the general Pakistani populace when they see fit. This was bound to happen and her rise to fame is as much the fault of these Pakistani media journalists(who interviewed her on the behest of her father) as anyone else's. That being said, her book(as I glanced through it) talks more of the people of Swat than the people of Pakistan as such it holds potential that she may be one day used as a tool against the establishment and other forces to promote rhetoric. However, all things said and done her status is better than ANY Salman Rushdie or otherwise and at this point the smart thing is to use her status abroad as much as possible without leaving a sense of deprivation at home due to her fame.

Maybe , the patriotism of a person should be directed at the enemies of the nation - the religious nut jobs being the main ones at the moment , eager to make Pakistan - another Afghanistan and enthusiastically destroying the country under the name of Islam , instead of indirectly supporting them and not at some girl who has got recognition from the world for standing up to the same extremists involved in terrorism/maiming/harassment of the people of Swat and well Pakistan as a whole too . You do not learn to even remotely criticize the murderers of 64,000 of your countrymen and you have got the nerve to lecture us about that word . Ironic ! . What is your definition of " patriotism " , if I may know ? Interesting thing is that the same " patriotic Pakistanis " haven't read the book themselves but are hell bent on advancing " conspiracy theories " and performing " character assassination " . Unless of course , anyone of you can post excerpt from the book proving what you are saying , it all remains as such . The equation doesn't change because just another journalists has said the same as previous ones . So where is the proof ? Are we supposed to take his word for it ? :D

What problem do we now have with a certain Christina Lamb writing the book for her ? Are you aware of the whole process itself too ? How many books written by Western writers have you read in school/colleges/universities/elsewhere ? What is with the irrational and insane logic of " Everything West MUST be wrong and evil " ? :azn:
Zarvan must be havin a raging boner from this column. People who think Jihad is the best way of life and are hell bent upon "creating" this jihad out of nothing but violence should taste it themselves. Each drone attack kills a Terrorist along with it some civvies. The point being if civvies are idiots enough to hang around such lunatics then who are we to cry for them.

@Informant @Secur first most drones have killed innocents people working in fields or sitting in their homes or in markets and those who were terrorists they were nnot proven only secular traitors say that because their master USA call them terrorists tomorrow USA will abuse their family seculars will also start abusing their family and off you can't protect your own people than give them freedom and malala is being supported by west no because she stands for education but because she and her father are paid tools off west use to bash Islam and defend people like Rushdie the another master and teacher off seculars otherwise their are several who in reality are giving education and also raising orphans

Sir we don't need to use her we need to built schools and design a curriculam that when a student passes FSC or FA or A Levels not only he or she knows subjects like science and others but also in schools they are taught one tafseer and both bukhar and Muslim and few detail books off fiqh and their theses are seperatly taken through and than start specially Bsc in universities off Islamic sciences and than masters and up to PHD

Tafseer is not for everyone and as such there will be massive issues on whose Tafseer is to be taught. The best solution is to ensure that Islamic studies are mandatory till the 12th grade after which they are optional. Till 18 the Child's Islamic education IS the responsibility of society..after which they are already well into adulthood(Baligh) to decide for themselves. Trying to force Islam onto them will have them reject it outright or decide to interfere through force in others religious life or worse. People are like springs, and as such the teaching should be such. Ive had both Matric and A Level systems and as such both are insufficient and ill constructed in their teaching and methods of bringing in Islamic teachings.

Instead of instilling the concept of prayers and religion from class-1... by keeping regular prayers breaks and letting Children decide if they want to join in.. there is no concept of it. Suddenly by class-4 or 5 Islam is shoved down the throats of kids of which many are not used to seeing beyond rituals at their house. It then becomes a subject and not a way of life to learn; a pattern that is carried throughout. Even in University, Islamiyat course is compulsory but people see it as a way for a grade and not a spiritual knowledge system. Islam is no longer our personal connection with god that binds us in brotherhood but a way to fit in with society or get ahead for worldly needs.

In either case, Malala is not a tool for building schools but she is one to get funding from abroad for it when we dont have enough to fund it ourselves.

@Informant @Secur first most drones have killed innocents people working in fields or sitting in their homes or in markets and those who were terrorists they were nnot proven

First of all , answer the whole questions/replies or do not bother answering them at all , these " repetitive " halfsies of yours are of no use to anybody . Second , the topic isn't the drone strike because the " God's viceroy and its little angels in the Madarsas all over Pakistan " have killed more Pakistanis than the Americans ever could , using the insane logic of " Muslims are being killed here so lets kill some more Pakistanis - who well happen to be majority Muslims " . I do no see what Miss Malala Yousufzai has got to do with drone strikes here , can you tell me about it more ? Does she control the tribal areas where the writ of the state of Pakistan is absent ? Did she give permission for it ? Does she authorize the drone strikes ? Does she ask the radical terrorists to hide in that area and risk civilian lives ? So , if she has nothing , absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with , what are you harping on it continuously without realizing that you aren't making any sense ? Its even worse than your " same as Rushdie " irrational logic . Do you even read our posts before replying to us back ? Just because we support a particular girl of our own goddamn country or something about West , doesn't mean we endorse every action/ideas/ideology/views of West too . I for one , am not happy with the policies and dual standards of U.S. with my country . My capital is Islamabad unlike yours which lies somewhere in Kabul or Riyadh . Next , the West isn't responsible for our country , so stop blaming it for your every mishap and try to support terrorists by that .

P.S I never see you talking/condemning about the murders/killings/bombing/harassment/maiming of 64,000+ Pakistanis and countless family members by the terrorists/extremists/Mullahs you support so openly and proudly and justify their actions whilst each one of us , you have answered have criticized/condemned/demanded an immediate end to the drone strikes in some thread related to it . The violation of sovereignty isn't acceptable to us but neither should the enforcement of barbaric , rigid , distorted and on the gun point ISLAM should be to you ! I do not see utter a single word , when the Taliban kill dozens of Afghans and maybe injure or kill a few NATO soldiers somewhere in Afghanistan and even admit it proudly whilst the rest of us , always say REST IN PEACE when Afghans are killed - no matter by which party . Who's the slave or the hypocrite then ? Seeing , how much support you have in the thread , the answer is obvious .

@Oscar

If the premise is wrong then the argument is wrong , right ? If he hasn't even read the book , he so gladly comments on and passes judgement , what credibility if any , is he left with ?

Sir malala will get fund on fund for anti Islam for anti Islam works sir and no sir by 5th grade a child in school should be taught how to perfectly read Quran and one siparah should be hifz too every one and after 5th a student should be given option weather he or she wants to do complete hifz or not those who don't they still should be taught detail Islamic teachings covering all topics off Islam band in 9th and 10 the grade a student should be taught a small tafseer for example one volume tafseer ahsanul bayan along with summarized bukhari and Muslim and in 11th and 12th grade a student should be taught tafseer a bigger one like ibn kaseer and detail bukhari and Muslim with 3 books off fiqh and their tests should be sepeeratly taken for teaching these we can use summer camps and before entering university a students should pass these tests and those who reach 12 they have the intellect to study it and in many cases we have to enforce sir

Nobody will do it There will be protests and Children will be overburdened. Again, your line of thought will push the spring too much and it will recoil back in your own face.

.
@Secur yesI read the post imalala was short yes that was bad but now she is tool off west being used to defend people like Rushdie and bash Islam and don't worry she will never work for any schools or other things in Pakistan and if she do its west which will decide what to teach she is and will be used to bark shit against Islam and defend dogs barking wrong about Islam

.
Sir malala will get fund on fund for anti Islam for anti Islam works sir

Anti Islam work ? Trying to get support and funds for education is anti Islamic ? Criticizing the terrorists and condemning them is anti Islamic work ? Trying to raise your voice against barbarism and violence in society in anti Islamic ? Oh yeah , I remember , the " pure Muslims " are hell bent on opposing worldly education whom they perceive as " outside the fold of Islam " specially for women , will gladly restrict them education and even keep them as " little infants " in a house which she cant leave throughout her life and will make decisions for her , without consulting her - not to mention , kill or harass any girl who commits the grand sin of seeking education . I have one more suggestion , lets force everyone to become a haafiz too . Sure works that way ! :D But let me tell you something , intentions are important and some good word/deed/prayer is of no use to the God of Muhammad if done forcibly/under compulsion or fear of life .

.

But since when has this lot being " realistic " to suggest anything applicable or practical in the country ?

.
@Secur yesI read the post imalala was short yes that was bad

The things which the people who shot her " were/are/have been doing is far more worse " . You do not put a bullet in the head of a little kid who wants to get education and merely because she opposes you / has a difference of opinion or belief and then call it " BAD " and consider yourself " absolved " . Its much far worse than that . Anyways , your broken tape is back online again neglecting/ignoring all the reasoning/logic/facts that have been put in front of you by everyone in the thread . Continue with it .
