SRINAGAR: Pro-Pakistan separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Monday came up with yet another conspiracy theory that the central government's move to rehabilitate Kashmiri Pandits in exclusive clusters was essentially a plan to settle the members of the Right wing Hindu groups in Kashmir to fight Kashmiri Muslims.

Though Geelani called for the return of displaced Kashmiri Pandits to their native places in the valley he opposed the government's move to rehabilitate them in exclusive clusters as "a conspiracy to settle members of RSS and other Sangh Parivar groups'' in Kashmir.

"Kashmiri Hindus are the part of the Kashmiri society and should be rehabilitated at their original locations or the state government should provide them money for building houses in the residential localities where they can live with their Muslim neighbours,'' Geelani told reporters.

Geelani warned the government to withdraw the cluster policy and said he would launch a mass public contact programme to educate people about its ramifications. "...we would launch a massive public agitation to force the government to yield," he said. He said the government seeks to establish the clusters overtly for the displaced community, but in fact "wants to make non-state subject members of various Hindu groups to settle in these clusters were they will be given arms training to fight Kashmiris (Muslims).''

The timing of Geelani's opposition is bound to raise questions as the cluster policy has been in place for a while and comes at a time when Kashmir is witnessing a bumper tourist season for the second year following massive street protests in 2010. The Hurriyat has been trying to create a similar mass uprising and looking for excuses as it seems to be running out of ideas.

He described chief minister Omar Abdullah "as a puppet'' who is all set to implement the "nefarious designs" of the central government. "The decision, which is aimed at tilting the demography, would lead to civil war in the state.'' He said this was being done to give communal colour to "the freedom movement''.

The state government has constructed 200 flats for the displaced community at Sheikhpora in Budgam district at the cost of Rs.22.90 crore.

How convenient, firstly these bast@rds kill, rape and forcefully kick out the Kashmiri Pandits, and when the State is trying to do rehabilitation to bring them back, he starts seeing conspiracy theories of right wing Hindus. Its so obvious that he does not want any non-Muslim Kashmiris to come back to Kashmir. Guy is such a bast@rd, hope he dies already.

After failing to incite people using Shrine fire, the old man is resorting to other tactics..

Kashmir Pandits are the people of the lands and were forced out of Valley on gun-point and many till date are living in the refugees camps in Jammu and many other places, in the hope of their return back to the valley/home.

I know he people like Geelani will have problem with that because a) he can not again force them out of the valley b) these people will never support a terrorist like him..

In the end, I think he should thank his starsl that extremist/terrorist like him is living in India and able to spit this much venom out. Had he been living in any other part of the world, he would have got bullet in the head even before opening his mouth..

Geelani is neither pro-Pakistan nor anti-India, he is just an opportunist. he found the cause to keep him and his family cashing in the mood of the valley. His own son is a govt employee. can you believe it. Father anti-India and son indian Govt employee. This is how these people fool the general public while they have all the fun.

This guy is neither pro-Pakistan or anti-India, he is a Kashmiri hero. When so many mass-graves are found in his state, filled with massacred bodies of women, children, human beings of all ages - this man raises his voice. He has struggled all his life, may Allah bless him with the best of success.

Sidiq has been working on the river for 12 years now. Every week or two, as he hoists a shovel full of sand from the riverbed, he finds himself staring at a skull, a broken skeleton, or a shattered femur. "Most of the dead were young men. You could see their shiny teeth; you could tell from the skull, he was very, very young. One day I found a young man.... He had been badly tortured. Both his hands and feet had been chopped off," says Sidiq as he sits beneath the majestic maple trees lining the riverbank.

A fellow sand-digger in his early 40s, Naseer Ahmed, found a skull in March. "It was a small skull. It would have been a 16- or 17-year-old boy. The other day, it was a thigh with flesh still on it," Ahmed said. "It is a haunted river."

By 1996, according to conservative official estimates, around 15,000 had been killed -- a number that has since risen to 70,000. India's military, paramilitary, and police forces deployed in massive numbers to pacify the rebellious province, and tens of thousands of Kashmiri civilians were taken into custody. Thousands never returned. Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and several Indian rights groups have repeatedly urged the Indian government to investigate the disappearances in Kashmir, but the government and the Army consistently argued that the missing weren't dead: They had crossed over to Pakistan to train as militants.

Stories of arrests, torture, killings, and secret burials were rife in Kashmir throughout the 1990s. Akhter Mohiuddin, a much-respected Kashmiri short-story writer, dedicated a collection of stories to "young men who were murdered at unknown places,"

In December 2009, the common knowledge that thousands were killed and buried in unknown places turned out to be true. The International People's Tribunal on Human Rights and Justice in Indian-Administered Kashmir (IPTK), a group of human rights activists led by a local rights group, published a report called "Buried Evidence" that established and conclusively documented the presence of 2,700 unmarked graves of unidentified people in three northern districts of the Kashmir Valley, close to the Line of Control.

This is sick and sad. Of-course the side that commits these massacres, also lies and demonizes people like Syed Ali Shah Geelani who raise their voice in protest.

Obviously you must have never been to the sites detailing the Waziristan campaign atrocities on innocent civilians by your great Army. Just read your fellow citizen Imtiaz Gul's book "The Al Qaeda Connection".

What a stupid thought,....
They were just normal graves , which poor people cant afford a proper funeral with wooden box !!
Nice propaganda.. If there are so much missing , the police have a complaint list which is very less.. Many had gone to P.O.K and many missing persons list were withdrawn after they came back..
