did somebody talked about pakistan's 180 Billion $ black / informal economy ??? that is actually more than 60% of our total economy, initiating programs to bring it to formal economy can automatically increase our GDP for example Bangladesh has brought its black economy equal to 30% of its GDP, resulting positive impact at Per captia. and its over all GDP. recently pakistani Govt has introduced some reforms in FBR through an online system to minimize human interactions and digitize the work process similar steps will produce good results and we will listen more good news in coming days .

GDP rebasing exercise is taking place after 2006 and results will be out this year that will increase nominal GDP by 15%. Basically next year Pakistan GDP can reach Rs60 trillion with growth rate of over 5%. Which at current exchange rate will be around $400 billion. FBR and provincial governments are not doing good job collecting taxes.

It will cover period between 2006-2016. Ideally Pakistan need to do this every 5 years to see where GDP stand and where tax collection can be improved.
