Value wise of the attack, I see nothing gained.

Reaction wise; Iran can take the upper hand now that it has a "retaliatory" causis belli on a target of its choosing.

On a side note, the build of this Quad looks quite sophisticated, not some crude device that would be made by 5th column/mossad inside Iran, but smuggled in...

If the layer of not there, the damage from this large quad might've been successful.
