Suicide bomb blast reported at 1-10 area of Islamabad at around 10:45 am

Ask army to go and conquer Afghanistan and eliminate TTP BLA once for all , remember its 16 parties govt no one can ask or put finger on them
The economy is collapsing no way they can do that.

This is the reason they co-operate with IEA to a degree, if it is pushed too far into Indian camp against Pakistan, they wouldn't economically be able to handle the insurgency.

No money for fuel, bombs, ammunition = can't effectively tackle insurgency.

They should just secure Western border as much as they can with sensors, surveillance, security. Make it fool proof. Then focus on fixing economy, push it to the right direction. Low intensity sweeps against high-risk areas, monitor Afghan refugees.

Then a solution to fix the Afghanistan problem permanently must be found. Could be Khorosan.

How dare you ask the Army to do anything other than secure the generals' domestic power interests while also doing the bear minimum border defense and internal CT?

No doubt Bajwa is a bastard but to blame one man is foolish.

Not everything is even connected to GHQ - there is external influence and other factors which go into it.

The issue has always been Afghanistan and Afghans since day 1. You castrate them, 80% of your problems will become managable in the terrorism domain.
Hmm good idea.
Mandatory castration for any afghani entering Pakistan. Of course for anyone found without legal papers in Pakistan too.

Should just hand them the keys then.

Unlike us, the Afghan Taliban work on realpolitik, not delusions. They very quickly have realized that we have no real leverage and lack the will and/or capacity to introduce consequences.

If you can't raise the cost for the other, might as well stop being a cucked nuclear power and admit subservience to a bunch of barbarians.

Military is responsible for the current economic mess, they are the one who brought these criminals into power , now they lost everything inside and outside of Pakistan, they have lost the people support and now they lost IEA support too
Ab bulao taliban khan ko jo unsy bat kary aor inki patloonain wapis lay k ay

We have leverage for now, which is they rely on our border for trade, etc. We could shut down border posts.

For now:

They should just secure Western border as much as they can with sensors, surveillance, security. Make it fool proof. Then focus on fixing economy, push it to the right direction. Low intensity sweeps against high-risk areas, monitor Afghan refugees.

I completely agree with this point.

Unfortunately the military is not acting against the nepotism and corruption this nation suffers from - but wants to involve itself in everything from politics to businesses. (In fact they themselves are engaged in nepotism and corruption.)

So why does it not do something good and enforce meritocracy?

Anyone found engaging in corruption or nepotism in national institutions connected to the government should receive capital punishment. This is the only way people will fix up. Death penalty for nepotism and corruption in government institutions.

It's a complex issue, much greater than PTI or PDM. But to sum it up, establishment led the talks, they failed, due to multiple reasons, one of them being the rigidity of the TTP.

I hate PDM just as much as anyone else, but they don't even know half the things going on. Unhain apni hakoomat kay pissu paray huay hain.

Our data and statements about the "Butcher of Gujrat" are heard across the globe, widely received with a lot of positive response. The Indians are unable to recover from recent foreign policy moves, as a result, the bleeding enemy is taking revenge from poor and innocent people of Pakistan.

I will tell you this one thing with facts. The military and the current government is VERY involved in this entire process. For once, we actually have civilians go aggressive on India. This blast (and something else) might happen because we've put India on a backfoot by aggressive foreign diplomacy.

As much as politics has affected the law and order situation, can the PTI vs PDM and shit please be stopped for this thread and more focus be placed on security discussion?

According to Deputy Inspector General of Police Sohail Zafar Chattha, the police spotted a “suspicious vehicle” with a man and a woman aboard at 10:15am in the area.

“When the police stopped the vehicle, the couple came out of the car. The long-haired man, while being checked by the officers, went inside the vehicle on some pretext and then detonated himself,” he said in a media briefing at the crime scene alongside Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon.

Islamabad Police declared a “red alert” in the city.

“The vehicle used in the blast was registered in Chakwal. The car entered Islamabad from Rawalpindi […] it was packed with explosives and headed for a high-value target in the capital.

Head Constable Adeel Hussain from Eagle Squad attained martyrdom. 2 x cil + 4 x police injured.

A day ago, Islamabad police issued a statement, saying its Eagle Squad had checked 2,024 suspicious persons, motorcycles, and vehicles as part of a security measure, especially in the aftermath of a new wave of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

“Our initial information says that there was a man and a woman in the car,” Sohail Zafar, Islamabad operations police chief, told reporters. The car did not stop at the checkpoint when police tried to halt it, he said.

“As they chased it, the people inside the car blew it up. It was a suicide blast,” added Zafar.

A suicide bomber and his accomplice detonated explosives in Pakistan’s capital when police tried to check their vehicle, killing themselves, one policeman and injuring five people.

The incident, the first such attack in Islamabad in more than eight years, took place in a neighborhood close to the garrison town of Rawalpindi, local police said on Twitter.

Last PBIED happned in 2014 targetting a court is the capital.

Pak Army is too busy making p0rn videos of married couples, torturing Pakistani, and murdering Pakistanis in Kenya and Pakistan.
and thats when the super boys of PTI will come and save the day through their impassioned writing skills.

looks like the army lost its couse and started following Imran who installed a sack of cow manure as CM Punjab and allowed the Manicas to run amok in punjab along with all the usual suspects like Farah Gogi, Zulfi, and poor Murad Saeed with Vaseline at the same time teaching us the state of Madina. to better understand him they decided to video and audio record his vision of Riyasat Madina which in my view was less than flattering.

. . .
Good thing they failed to hit their target. Even if the dead was a suicide bomber, loss of life makes me sad regardless as those poor kids were just brainwashed souls.
Back to the old days of instability I guess. Purana Pakistan.
Because bomb blasts never happened during Imran Khan's time.

Pakistani generals are the biggest cancer and curse on Pakistan. And Pakistani public is the laziest, most incompetent nation of people... Why don't they drag these donkeys on the streets?
Because every nation on earth has the guts for a revolution and to kill their politicians. Why is Pakistan an exception?

I will never respect Islamabad police for what they did to peaceful protestors on May 25th.

May Allah (SWT) have mercy.
Dumb take for a usually rational poster, the police just follow orders. He possibly saved at least 50 lives if not more
