So, why doesn't have the otherwise stealthily shaped Kamorta a cover (you can see nearly the whole tube) ?

And if so, then P17 has only one set of twin trainable launchers, as there is no similar contraption on the starboard side.
Then again, a lot of people didn't want to believe me either when I said that Kamorta class doesn't have an antiship missile fitted (i.e. dual role heavyweight torpedoes are its main anti-ship weapon.)

On a ship like P17, if fitted with torpedo launchers, I would have expected fixed transversly mounted launchers. Such as found on Kolkatas and e.g. Fremm.
The area with the cover is also way bigger than the opening would need to be for twin trainable tubes, taking Talwar as reference.

I suspect that P17 is more concerned by being detected by Radar, while Kamorta is more concerned about being detected by submarines.

So P17 has a cover over its torpedo tube slot and kamorta does not have one.

The steps and gangway you have shown has no resemblance to the door on Shivalik.

Here's the lastest Russian 11356M again. Note the shape of the cut-out in the hull below the heli deck. That is where the gangway goes. It's shaped very similar to the cover on F-48.

Then why bother with superstructure shaping at all on Kamorta? It's obvious that India took effort to repreduce the X form introduced on MEKO A100/200. How does superstructure shaping contribute to noise reduction?
Besides, if P25/25A use is indicative, P28 and P17 both serve as carrier escorts. I'ld rather have both low RCS.

Neither of us has a photo of the ship interior at that point, or of this cover opened. So neither can with certainty state what it is. I've given a well considered and documented argument for gangway. I'm not sure that you have for the torpedo tube slot. And you forget to explain why there is only 1 set of tubes then, namely on port.Whereas Talwar, Kamorta as well as Kolkata have 2 sets of 2 tubes. Rajput and Delhi have a single set of trainable tubess, but this can go to both port and starboard, and has 5 tubes. Godavari and Brahmmaputra have lightweights, 2 sets of 3 tubes. Khukri/Khora have not ASW gear.

The example of a folding gangway (on RNZN Canterbury) simply illustrates than an entire gangway can fold away into a ship superstructure, and that the opening can be a nice flat rectangular cover in the superstructure side. Very similar to P17, just vertical. For the P17, I believe it is hinged at the bottom so the gangway folds out and can then be lowered alongside the hull and extended down. This could support e.g. RIB operation in calm weather. It probably can also pivot away from the hull, as is also shown on Canterbury. Finally, you ignore the gangway similarity with the Russian Talwars currently building.
