I guess its okay for a leftaan to flaunt a little. Unless he is in a operational area. SOF operators should atleast wear a balaclava like SAS et al do. Google SAS SEALS GROM GIGN etc etc you would not be able to find any of their operators' pictures without balaclava or their picture blurred out.

You don't think they are probably briefed on that?? We can only speculate as to why such videos and photos emerge. When one of such posters go scott free, for whatever reason, the rest of the younger lot will post such pictures. It is also due to their age and the different lifestyle of the current crop of young officers. They are much more net savvy, outspoken and have what we normally call "akkar". But I agree with the reasoning of your post. Unfortunately, we can do nothing about it. It's the internal matter of an organization to solve.
