The problem with india is.... Politician knows the emotions of population very well...... They use it very well to serve their purpose......

Unfortunately Politicians also create emotions by starting regional mass mobilization & driving home the thought of emotional sectarian issues among the population. This will result only in greater radicalization of the community. Very sad really...

Agreeing to what you said - but the current protests are actually in reverse..they were not started by politicians..but by students and now politicians are trying their level hard to appropriate it.

I'm sure the concern & protest by the students are very much genuine. But sitting government should take all the aspects into consideration including the national interest & international diplomatic relationship of a Nation instead of adding fuel to the fire. What's happening now is the govt of Tamilnadu is enraging the local public against their own National interests by coming out with unreasonable demands, like asking the central govt to boycott CHOGM or cancelling Asian athletics championship or now this one..

@JanjaWeed Referendum is a non-starter. Impetus must be on making them implement what they said they would like devolving political powers to Tamil areas and stop cultural aggression by thrusting sinhalese language there.. Nothing more nothing less.
