One of the rare features on this vehicle is that it has an 360˚ maneuverable thermal sight on the side of the driver's seat which also can be linked to the monitor of the crew compartment.

very good development, i wish BD could buy it but it is little costly for us :(

One of the main reasons why it costs more than the previous types of ifvs is due to it's mounting of electronic devices such as computers and other sort of things.
At the time when they started developing these stuffs, the concepts of these were so rare and only been used for some particular areas. But since the booming diffussion of portable smartphones in the public market and technology advances over a several years may now even abled producing some of those devices more advanced and sophisticated but affordable.
So the point is that the price tag can be changed whenever it can be.

The fact is, it still costs roughly 3 times less than some of it's european competitors...

It looks surprisingly roomy from the inside, I thought it would be restricting.....

Isnt $3.5m on the higher side for an IFV of that size?
If you're expecting the price of some kind of m2a2 surplus than you may insist so.
But it's more than that and if you look at it's equipments and functions or even small details you would notice immidiately that this price wasn't just came up by some foolish minds.
When it comes to the comparisons between vehicles with same abilities, like german made puma and infamous CV90 than you may rethink what you have just said.

No upgrade plans currently. But there is a possibility that it could be mounted as an option.

Could you be a dear and list prices of M2Bradley and Puma. Production costs, not export prices. It would be easier for readers to understand that way instead of chewing me out.
