Ismail Demir: Hisar-A will be delivered in 2021, Hisar-O in 2022. Siper long altitude missiles will be operational in 2023. Adcanced variant of Siper which will have much longer range than Siper will also be revealed.

This is the general structure of Turkish layered SAM network. Other variants derived from Hisar and Göktuğ missiles will be revealed soon but they will be somewhere inside this layers.

According to info about Siper long range SAM, The missile will have a range around 120km. Seeker head of missile will have both Radar and IIR tracking modes. Dual seeker head (Rf+IIR) will make missile extremely resistant to EW attacks in terminal phase. In addition, The missile will communicate with control center/search radars via two way datalink. Siper missiles will be integrated on Tf-2000 destroyers as well. First prototypes will be revealed by 2021.

In line with an alteration of the contract, Aselsan is also developing an RF Seeker for the HİSAR Ground-to-Air Guided Missile and the first ballistic test with the new missile named HİSAR-RF as part of the urgent demands of the Forces is planned to be accomplished within less than a year. It is mentioned that the propulsion system of the HİSAR-A/O was maintained in the HİSAR-RF-RF while certain differences in terms of aerodynamics were made. Flat plate slot antennas and steerable gimbal mechanisms are being used in the HİSAR-RF, GÖKTUĞ-BVR and ATMACA RF Seekers that feature similar technologies. The RF Seeker will remain also in the HİSAR-U/GUMS Missile named the SİPER.

Not having a past experiences regarding an air raid doesn’t mean that there won’t be in future. The big countries set up their strategies to overcome with any likely threats that would harm the benefits of nations so It is a must to develop and produce any system which will be benefical to protect homeland.

Ballistic missiles are not totally out of procurement plan my friend. What SSB wants to introduce to public is the precision guided ballistic missile efforts with a range up to “300km”. Block-2 variant of this missile will be introduced with an unknown range factor. On the other hand, Roketsan is developing a three stage satellite launch vehicle to carry 100kg paylod up to 400km altitude. That is a contraditing story As you see so It is not about capability but preference. What Turkiye wants is not to attract foreign attention with introducing mass production weapons. Instead, VL Land/Ship based point strike long range (800-1000km scale) cruise missile program called GeZgin is prefered to announce the public.
