This is the funniest thing I have read in a while.

'raise up' is completely wrong in English, unless you speak some other version of English.
It's only raise. Parents raise their children, not "raise up" their children. And asking someone to 'raise up' is like asking a dead body to get up. Asking someone to 'raise' makes no sense.
