Sheikh Mujib wanted Kolkata to be capital of Pakistan

Bengal tiger population in Bangladesh is quite steady. However climate change and as india and bangladesh exploit the sundarbans collectively, it faces an uncertain future.
Factually incorrect! Count increasing in India and dwindling in the Bangladeshi part of Bengal. The craze, though, amongst the Bangladeshi cricket fans for the stuffed Bengal tiger is at an all time high.:cheesy::rofl:

Care to provide numbers?

But where are the figures which show Bengal tiger numbers declining in Bangladesh.
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-33672602

Bangladesh has only a little more than 100 Royal Bengal tigers living in the Sunderbans forest, far fewer than previously thought, new figures show.

Forestry officials say a survey, using hidden cameras, counted 106 tigers in the wild on the Bangladeshi side of the world's largest mangrove swamp, and about 74 on the Indian side.

The figures mark a sharp decline from the 440 animals recorded 10 years ago........

-----------+++-----+++-----------
As if this was not enough proof, do you not see the Tigers from Bangladesh display an amazing spirit of cuckoldery in the recent engagements with their neighbours..Much ado about nothing, this must please you, right?

The figures from 10 years ago cannot be trusted as they did not account for the migratory pattern of the Tigers in the swampy marshes.

The old method of pug-marks is outdated and is not scientifically credible.

India uses sensors, motion detectors, infrared cameras and the like these days, can't say the same for Bangladesh. Please bear in mind that the area of Sunderbans under Indian territory is only one-third that of BD. Yet the tiger population in WB is more than that in Bangladesh. All India figures have even more disparity. Talking about wildlife, how's the Houbara Bustard conservation going on? Free picnic for the Arabs as usual?

There are genuine concerns from the WWF that India reports false numbers and not to mention the caste system of animals when it comes to conservatism as some tigers are called government tigers and others are left free for poachers.

Some reports also mention that Bengal Tigers choose to migrate to India from Bangladesh in search of greener pastures thereby boosting numbers!

the phenomenon is due to tidal waves and natural migration between the different areas of the swamp.

Once a supporter of Pakistan movement became anti-Pakistan and created Bangladesh in 1971. Sheikh Mujib wrote about his regret for losing Kolkata for Pakistan and also termed Kolkata the best city of the British India back then in his auto biography.

I think we Bangladeshis still long for Kolkata like our father of the nation did. Wish It was a part of Bangladesh. So the current ' deport illegal Bangladeshi' movement in India would not have raised at all.

He wrote that although there were more Muslims in Murshidabad, it was given to India. In the Maldah district, Muslim and Hindus were equal, so half of it was cut. There were more Muslims in Dinajpur. Balurghat subdivision was cut off so that Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling became part of India.

Sheikh Mujib thinks these places should have come to Pakistan.

Describing his disappointment, Sheikh Mujib wrote, "We voluntarily gave up the Kolkata, which was built in the money of East Bengal. I think some people of the Central League wanted Kolkata to go to India. Or they had secretly agreed earlier.

"If Suhrawardy was a leader they would have difficulty, so they wanted to get work done by the back door. If Kolkata was in Pakistan, then the capital of Pakistan would have to be in Kolkata, as the people of East Bengal claimed that they were higher than the population of Pakistan, and then Kolkata, India's best city."

In his autobiography, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman writes, "If the leaders make a mistake to lead, the people have to pay their loss."

Yeah, regular ingestion of saltwater must wreak havoc on the mental health of these swamp dwellers.. Osmoregulatory system goes haywire making them bay for human blood!

there is no scientific research that gives credibility to the claim that swamp tigers are man eaters because of drinking salt water.

the reason why they are aggressive towards man is simply because the swamps have preserved the natural balance between man and beast.

Tigers elsewhere have been beaten into submission by regular hunting and indiscriminate killing, they don't desire human contact. Historical records mention the kings hunting hundreds of tigers in a single day. Those in the Sundarbans, relatively aloof, have no such fear.

Swamp dwellers are very dangerous and usually attack from the back when guard is down. Honey collectors wear masks on the back of their heads with prominent open eyes to make an illusory effect.

This has been going on for thousands of years till India decided to exploit the market.
