Shahed-136 - Tracking usage & expanding understanding.

straight cuts suggests impact with wires. perhaps that's the better air defense for Ukraine, considering the US same approach of using nets to protect it's Patriots in Saudi Arabia!
look at this

the wing is not one part , what ever happened it seemsin the video the wing broke in two in place where its part are attached together, but i can't see any bullet or shrapnel on it unlinke the one in front of green screen that show shrapnel signs . maybe it crashed for some other reason or it was hit on places the rest of the wing is . but thats not a wire cut , the wing just separated from where it was attached to its other half

The closer the drone gets the easier it is to shoot down. Gunner might be inexperienced.
there is no doubt he is inexperienced but that's not important at all , that is gepard , the gunner don't do the targeting its the radar that do that

Or, he's just firing at multiple drones.

Also, such systems aren't that good, I remember seeing a Russian exercise in which 4 Pantsirs try to shoot down a drone and fail and had to resort to a missile.

have you seen any intercepted ?

thats what NATO boasted close the files on these dreones for good . its funny the new version of the story is that the system is not so good

Maybe, it's pitch dark, could just break the wings of the drone and crash like seen in a few pictures.

Gepards were brought way before the Shaheds were even rumoured to come.
And they definitely are effective against those drones, they'll easily track and easily shoot them down as long as they're correctly positioned. Many are being shot down.

Many are being shot down.

No many are “Said” to be shot down by the greatest propaganda arm since Goebbels and Nazi Reich.

I think we can all agree when it comes to military losses and claims, Ukraine is one of the worst liars in modern history. This is a country that made it illegal to film areas that they got bombed including cities.

We are getting less Shahed destruction/strike footage and very little Shahed shoot down footage. Leads me to believe that at the military level a blackout has now been put into place so that Russia can not gauge how effectively they are working.

So I wouldn’t believe anything Ukraine says when they don’t back it up with visual evidence.

Cope and seethe bro, many are being shot down.

Cope and seethe about what?

It is quite proven Ukraine habitually lies about battlefield claims.

As for S-131 and S-136 a drone that cost under 50K with a propeller engine flying at 200mph making enough sound to wake up a village. Literally has already paid dividends for Russia even if the next 100% get shot down.

Yes it has a VLO due to design, size, honeycomb (some models), and altitude of flight. But the engine gives it away to any human being with ears with access to an AA battery in the vicinity.

It’s a cheap swarm solution. Ukraine does not have enough AA systems to cover every inch of territory, nor does it have a unified layered ring system like Israel. Thus strikes will get thru.

when they fall there be explosion .by the way why go to that mental gymnasium to say it managed to intercept them , the simple answer is it failed . gepard is at best like phalanx , there was a reason they went and produced SeaRAM or Barak . phalanx reliability was not on par with newer threats

no as video showed their outdated radar is not up to the job

Also the serial numbers on drone wreckages (crashed/shot down) don't add up with Ukrainian claims. Most pictures show M2xx serial numbers.

No lol, you can clearly see in the Ukraine thread footage of Zelensky with an intact Shahed drone with a broken wing.

Barak exists because it has 20 times the range a cannon system has.

Phalanx easily shoots down drones, the closer they are the easier it is. Problem is ATGMs on drones outrange the Phalanx.

Another disadvantage of the Phalanx is its inability to target multiple aircraft at the same time.

If anyone is lying it would be Russia, the whole war is based on its lies.

Your drones get through, but a major part of them gets shot down. Infastracture can be repaired.

Your drones get through
And that's the point. If enough drones manage to get through and hit their target, it's a success (for Russia).
but a major part of them gets shot down.
No evidence for that. Just look at how the Ukrainians weren't able to protect Kyiv from Shahed drones and had Policemen shooting at them with small arms – without success. And that's their capital city...
Infastracture can be repaired.
Sure, infrastructure can be repaired but how quickly and at what cost? Can important energy or electricity infrastructure be repaired at a lower cost than the price of the drones used to target that infrastructure? Very unlikely.

you see how sharp the wing is cut in that photo , how it happened in one line and not in the line of two part of the wing attached to each other . that drone probably hit a power line
