what about men in other fields... or outside offices... that is why i wrote my previous post... you can add your points...

I dont have any experience out door, maybe asking time at first is the best we can do, if she is interested she will be smile and play with her hair while conversing with us, at this point we can then ask her full name and find her at FB in case not yet brave enough to ask her phone number

looking sharp is a gud thing,,,but not so sure about cravat
read ur post on "ice breakers"
for job interviews: too cheesy,,,,,,also there is always a chance that the next guy will trump u with a wise remark or piggy back on ur opening,,,,,n u may end up looking like a fool.
for office:cheesy again,,,,cud even gain u a bad repo,if u dont know where to stop and/or become annoying....
for bookstores:,,,,but then it requires a lot of reading first hand..

let's say the lady was a colleague in a company and you left that job only for her... let's say you had demonstrated your love for this lady to the other colleagues in your former employment place... you demonstrated finally by resigning from that company when she too resigned...

what if this lady has so far refused your declaration of love but you are obsessed with her, and one day you accidentally see her walking-by... some points to act on, and mistakes to avoid...

you see her walk past, your heart starts beating faster... but calm down... call her... ignore the fact of you two being in public... demonstrate that you like her... if she doesn't hear you or she pretends to not hear you, don't worry, follow her... even if it is raining heavily and she is carrying an umbrella and you are not, follow her... you may become completely soaked but follow her... in the heavy rain, call her name again...

she may turn and say a short "hi..."... she may next say "what are you doing here??"... now, this is a critical moment... don't say the first thing that comes to mind... you can playfully say "what do you think??"... or you can say, in sincere voice "passing by"... you can next say "where are you now??"... she may reply with "that, i won't be telling you...

you can say "may i offer you a cup of tea??"... decide your next statement by her reply... you can say "do you still meet people [ from your former common company]??"... she will mostly say "yes"... ask her "have you read my last message to [ your former common colleagues ]??"... you are of course talking the message which had included your final public declaration of love for her... she may say a hesitant "yes"... make your next statement based on that...

you can again say "may i offer you a cup of tea??"... convince her to come with you... it would be best if you take her to within a shopping mall because along with the tea place there will also be other shops... in the tea place, after ordering for tea, excuse yourself for a moment... go to another shop in the mall... best is if you buy an item of jewellery... it should be something simple but elegant... it should appear a sincere piece of shopping which was bought in urgency... go back to the tea place and at the right moment, present your shopping to her...

i myself have resigned from my former company only for her... i resigned because i had promised this to one of female friends and to others too... matter of keeping my word...

from my first post on this thread, i have been saying that jobs are not important and best not done by gentlemen... instead we should do business and ideally, get into socialist politics... once you have power ( economic and political ), you can have the lady of your choice...

starting a business and getting into socialist politics are two of the most difficult things in many societies... shows your commitment and seriousness in life... you can always declare this to your lady ( or ladies )...

and trying to start business and being in socialist politics is what i myself have been doing...

A small contribution to the thread, which might be of particular interest to the Pakistanis here. I have been learning Arabic (Modern Standard or Fus-ha) for some time now. Here's a list of excellent materials that were very helpful in learning the language. It's taken me about 14 months to get to a decent level of fluency, it might be easier for Urdu speakers since Urdu has more Arabic cognates than English/Hindi/Bengali (the languages I speak). Those learning the language to understand the Quran (this was not my purpose) will also need to learn some classical Arabic, which is similar to Modern Standard but has stylistic and vocabulary differences.

I think this is the best order to use these materials-

1. Pimsleur Modern Standard Arabic
2. Wightwick and Gaafar- Mastering Arabic I, Arabic Script, Arabic Grammar
3. Assimil- Arabic Made Easy
4. Wightwich and Gaafar- Mastering Arabic II
5. Shukri Abed- Focus on Contemporary Arabic

These are modern, user friendly books/courses. There are more traditional materials available but they rely excessively on rote learning. After finishing these it's a matter of reading/watching native content and possibly talking to native speakers on something like italki. Keep in mind that Modern Standard Arabic is not usually a spoken language outside formal/media settings.

lol... though i hv no plans of starting a business ..but i definitely want to join politics.... and i am sure i will do so, sooner or later...
and then power has licence to hv anything... though i am not a hard core socialist... neither a die hard capitalist fan... but i will try to keep my ladies interest out of political works... nai to aaj kal zamana bahut kharab hai... career will come to an end abruptly...

i understand... tv channels invading privacy... "ghaur se dekhiye is aadmi ko...."...

but you are right... political power is quite something... and i do like the premise of the ( hindi ) film "youngistaan" which is relevent to this discussion, and of course i like the beautiful song from it... "suno na sang-e-marmar"...

and one more thing is if a gentleman must be in job, he can take leadership by either starting a employees union or becoming an important of existing union... of those two, it is easier to start a union because modern industries and fields ( in india and in most other societies ) don't have union system and actively discourage such thoughts, even though establishing a union is legal internationally... so, if you can establish a union in your place of employment, you automatically become un-ignorable in the mind of the object of your affections... it will be... "love me or hate me, you cannot ignore me"...

and i will add to your words... urdu speakers or english speakers can use certain words from arabi language, words which are easily recognized as intellectual, spiritual, political, justice-oriented, revolution-oriented....will help build a good image of the speaker...
