Indian use AL 31FP while chinese use Al 31 FN.While its quite funny that Chinese team and members jumped to conclusion that its the engine issue without investigating which usually takes more than a week or so depend on severity.In this case it shows the amount of professionalism by PLAF and trying to cover up their failures or Industry by putting under the carpet.

Funny, China use AL31F ever since the first version of Su-27SK, where did Indian at that time? Any flankers installed with AL-31 series have the problem when suddenly starting afterburning，the oil supply will not be enough and this will cause the engine lower rotating or even stall. The only possible engine of the Al-31 series which may solve the problem is 117/AL-41F1 which used FADEC technology. Didn't your government reveals this to you or they just fool you because you are more interested in their boasting and PPTs? Al-31F has better "耐粗暴性操作"，which means in sustaining turn, it will start afterburning much quicker, and this is very critical for a air superiority fighter like J-10.

That is only when compare to WS-10. The updated version WS-10A has solved this problem compare to AL-31F.

Basic jet engine is easy. Early German jet engine could only last 1 flight before melted. Jet engine unlike petrol engine is very hot, need very strong heat resistant materials to prevent melting and prolong engine life. These days jet engine temperatures can reach thousands of degrees Celsius, so need very advanced material technology to build long lasting jet engines.

Non of the injuries were life threatening, and it's not a “landing". A landing would imply the pilot had control of the aircraft, which he hardly did given that the engine was out.
