What's new

Say something nice about the country the person above you is from!

South West, SW19. What about you?
I don't get to go back as much, I go about 3/4 times a year, I have a house there... So only if I have to manage it... Would love to stay in London for a few days then go to Southampton, etc.

Islington, home of Jazza :). I did my undergrad from the same uni as Corbyn :). Don't know if that's a good thing but hey ho.

.
I appreciate the UK for being a stalwart allie.

The people that I've encountered from the UK visiting the United States have been very nice and pleasant for the most part.

And it's very old TV show The Tomorrow People which I stumbled upon by accident and got partially obsessed with.

A TV show from the UK to watch is Mind Your Language. It's available on YouTube and I promise you will start binge watching it.

America is appreciated for having Boeing. I love plains!

I am in LOVE with New York Mets and watching Re runs of Mr Rodgers, " won't you be my neighbour".

Can vouch for mind your language, other gems are Carry On, only fools and horses and Blackadder. :)

Oh my goodness..Yes, Mr. Rogers is viewed as an icon here.

Even by younger Generations

In London when I was a little brat, my neighbour was this boy called Brad and his family were academics from Washington, I'd go over to his house and he had all these cool VHS tapes from America including Mr. Rogers, Alf etc...

Brad played a very big part in me becoming "Americanised" kind of lost touch with him after he moved out of London :(.
England has very nice chocolates.

Canadians are awesomely polite. On the politeness index, I'd rate them above Japanese. :). Now that's a compliment.

Do you remember The Bill, the Police station is about a minutes walk from where I live in London. It's changed to a company HQ now.

Yup the bill is what motivated me to pursue my career in policing. Good old sun hill nick :).

Pakistan people are open in their heart, sentimental and feel close to me after Indian people in US...Share lot of good familly time with them...Love to Pakistan fast bowlers bowling to any Non Indian batsman...And above all, after Shoib Akhtar, Wasim Akram, i am really big fan of Sarfaraz Ahamad as a very polite, sensible and no arrgance cricket captain..In particular, i feel good when people appriciate him...

Apart from cricket, I love PDF, arguing with different PDF posters...Love the way, both Indian and Pakistan posers gets emotional to each other...
PDF gave me a wider knowledge that Pakistan is not all about -ve things that is being projected in our media...Even due to PDF, i have started thinking, what is wrong if we really allow Kashmir valley to merge with Pakistan.....

And on top of it, I like few Pakistan posters in PDF...love to see they write more constructive things about India Pakistan relations..

This British show was way before my time, and a bit cheesy, but I really got into it.

There was actually an American remake a few years ago. only lasted a year though

Well well well... Rivals in the best of times and worst of times... Pakistan and India. Nice to read such a heart-written post!

Not going to lie, Bangalore's skyline looks very beautiful... It's well developed and maintained. Except from that, I don't usually watch Bollywood movies however they are very well scripted and written. I recently watched Bajrangi Bhaijaan and it cracked me up!

When I was living in the ME, most of my friends in my apartment were Indian (there were not alot of Pakistani's in my building), loved playing cricket and other games. One of the memories I will cherish as I get older. Got to appreciate Indian batting, a tough team for sure!

Mate I'm just special constable (volunteer police officer) I do that in addition to my regular job. Once I complete my post grad let's see if any vacancies pop up for full time police officer roles with the force.

I am a beat officer and do foot patrols :). So the chances of seeing me on something cool like roadwars are zero, lol.

Ah, just as well... You'd have to move to Slough for Roadwars. That's still very cool... Local beat bobbies (please don't attempt to read that wrong!) are very smiley and kind. Well, I might see you patrolling on the streets of Manchester one day then! Mate I don't know any cops personally, so I'm calling you if things go south! :yahoo:
