The uae is working on 4 versions of a 5th Generation fighter the First platform design and specifications of the fighter will be reveald Next Year (2018)
The uae is building an indegious sophisticated Defence Industry with joint ventures
The equipment of the Uae's 3 military Branches (Air force, Navy, Ground force) will show its future developments at IDEX 2018 and NAVDEX

Usrael is the only US ally allowed to add its own components on the the F-35s they receive.. no one else is allowed to do that including NATO member getting it.. UAE and KSA will get the standard one with their own modifications.. just readd the Article thoroughly..Anyhow.. The USraeli "own components" are derived from the US ones. The changes are mostly in the software..

Yes. And they are also allowed to service their jets. All other countries have to give them to US garages for servicing, so Israel is the only one that can operate one independently. All other ones can only do anything with the jet and their policies with approval from the US.

There is talk about servicing the European ones in Europe..Turkey was a candidate but other EU members opposed it.. I do not know where it is at right now..Some service center(s) will be in Europe for sure, so it is not that bad for KSA and UAE to go there till they prepare the infrastructure and personnel to service their own..

That is obvious..and that is one of the reasons why there is a general move towards weapons manufacturing localisation and ToT, throughout the Arab world..
To tell you the truth The US tries to ensure Usrael's qualitative edge in the ME by its own Qualitative and quantitative edge.. otherwise it won't be possible..

F-35 development partners Italy and Turkey are the big winners for major maintenance, repair, overhaul and upgrade work in Europe for the single-engine, stealthy, multinational Lockheed Martin fighter.

The Pentagon announced the MRO&U Thursday that Italy will be the primary location for heavy airframe maintenance. Turkey will initially handle heavy engine maintenance for the Pratt & Whitney F135.

Turkey is also not a surprise choice for the engine work. F135 manufacturer Pratt & Whitney has agreed with the Turkish military to build an engine facility there and the company has arrangements with local companies to build parts for the propulsion system.

Saudi Arabia's new prince ambassador to the US said the same thing to the US.. in a diplomatic way.. then he was allowed to visit an F-35 factory.. after that came the news of the negotiations start at IDEX 2017 with the UAE.. and now KSA..
