Saudi RSNF and plans to buy destroyers

The General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces is said to have recently submitted to Saudi Crown Prince and Defence Minister Mohammad Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz its final report about the purchase of destroyers in favor of the Eastern Fleet of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF).
Tactical Report has prepared a 411-word report to shed more light on the subject and tell how many destroyers the General Staff suggests buying and what about the Sawari III naval procurement project in favor of the RSNF Western Fleet. [Partly reproduced in TR Weekly Issue No 24/31 – August 4, 2017]

That is the Zumwalt class destroyer.. KSA might want 2 of them..

It comes with AEGIS and the whole family of the SM missiles up to SM-6, plus 2 Sonars for ASW+++++++ it is like buying a Naval base..

And why? you like your opinion to be a fact? the US had proposed the Arley Burke Destroyers to KSA long time ago, and it was refused, the Zumwalt is the modern replacement of the Arley Burke-class.. So stop drinking or smoking what ever you are taking.. and do not take your opinions for facts unless you can back them up with facts..

That comes from your mind, so I expect you to be thinking ScFi.. read the article again.. it is a proposal and does not say "Zumwalt"..But if is a possibility, since KSA did not accept the Arley Burkes before.. it might be the latter again..who knows, but it can be a specific Zumwalt version for KSA.. it can certainly afford 2..
So either speak with facts or keep your comments to yourself..

The Zumwalt has no real top-secret technology to be honest, unlike the F-22. The only thing unique is the stealth shaping but that is not hard to replicate.

As long as Saudi is willing to pay, there should be no real reason to not sell it to Saudi.

it cannot successfully employ the Standard Missile-2 (SM-2), SM-3 or SM-6.

This is limited, to begin with... ksa willing to spend $100s billion dollars and still below Israel, this is messed up.
