The ONLY country on that list that's spending 10% of it's GDP on weapons and yet can't build
It's own Warships, It's own Tanks, It's own APC, Any missiles of it's own, any military Aircraft, or Helicopter of it's own, Any type of precision guided weapon of it's own, any radar, any optical sensors, communication devices,..... is Saudi Arabia!
And the Saudi Military is still weaker militarily than all the countries on that list! Their Navy is a JOKE and they are the ONLY country on that list without a Submarine. Their Ground Forces are by majority reliant on a constant foreign supply & as for their Air Force not only are they unable to maintain their Air Force fleet but they are not even allowed to do so!
And after years of bombing Yamen the Saudi's still can't stop Missiles from being fired at them from one of the poorest countries in the world.
Increasing military spending is not a bad thing AS LONG AS the vast majority of the spending goes towards producing and developing your own weapons!
The last F-15 purchase cost Saudi Arabia ~$250 Million USD per Aircraft that includes (Aircraft, spare parts, a few add on's, limited number of weapons, training equipment & 2 years of maintenance)
