Saudi King Salman makes changes to government

.
bro the MB was part of the problem. america used them as a tool. so lets assume you are right. would you prefer MB tool in the hands of america to reshape the region and change the concept of islam. or a dictator who is in the hands of muslims fighting an agenda that is destroying islam ? im just assuming here and giving an example.
btw the MB is a political party. so just cuz it has the word muslim in it doesn't mean they are islam and anyone against them is against islam!
you care about islam ? then how come any muslim in power would accept a secular state ?! thats against islam according to the quran and hadith! thats why america backed the MB in egypt they want muslims to accept secularism and stop applying sharia law. they wanted the " radical" muslims to think that they have an islamic government when in fact its not. and then they want us to become like turkey and muslims in europe. so the end goal is turn islam into a spiritual thing between you and allah and be just like the christians.
btw hamdulelah turkey is coming back to islam. and by turkey i mean the ppl. they are becoming more religious and its worrying the west

No bro i partially disagree with u but i respect your opinion. Its pretty apparent that US doesn't mind sisi in Egypt. Politically u have the right to disagree with MB, u may even hate them but do u support the slaughter of 700-4000 (depending on which source u accept) innocent muslims in raqqa? What's wrong is wrong and a muslim must condemn it even if its committed by his/her own family. MB is just a political party that has a significant if not a majority support in Egypt's polity. U can't have stability in egypt without them.

As for MB, i never said going against them is unislamic. They r not synonymous with islam. I do consider them to be a group with some good ideas. But as all other groups they have their faults. They r a political group within islam and not a theological heretic sect. But u r really mistaken if u think AKP or MB are pro-western IMO.

Yes secularism is 180 degree to islam but u can't change a colonial established system just in one day. Turkish secularism is 80 years old and that made a major chunk of their pop. irreligious. A pro-muslims party in those countries like AKP or MB is better than having muslim hating western puppets IMO. Egypt was also not islamic to begin with. Infact apart from KSA what other muslim state actually practice sharia? And one of the major things i appreciate abt KSA is its implementation of sharia law in many aspects even though i may disagree and sometime condemn some of its policies . I do want stability to prevail in KSA even if its monarchy but a just monarch who fears Allah (swt) alone and rules by Allah's law.

And yes i agree turkish society is coming back to islam, Alhamdulillah.

Btw is sisi in egypt islamic or secular? he is increasingly becoming the poster boy of the west. recently he was quoted as asking al-azhar scholars as " he wants reform in islam".
Is Sisi Islam’s Martin Luther? - Syria in Crisis - Carnegie Endowment for International Peace

Its with puppets like these that west want to destroy muslims and impose their filth on us.

In all seriousness then I don't take such statistics too seriously. How old is that Hemnon-Nelson IQ scale? How many people were tested? From which countries? Which ethnic groups? Age groups? What kind of IQ did they test? Where they testing newly educated people or people with experience etc.?

Also I don't see a separate category for chemical engineering. Engineering is too wide a field. The same thing with medicine to some extent.

Also I did not chose this field because it pays good but because I am genuinely interested in chemistry, science and engineering. I would never be able to study chemical engineering at such a high level if there was not an element of passion and interest involved. In order to be happy with doing something again and again (for prolonged periods of time which a job is a prime example of) I need to have a degree of passion and interest. Of course the fact that this field is paying well that I can work across the world (if I want to) etc. is a big plus. Not denying that.

Being a doctor is a very admirable thing. Also a huge responsibility. I was thinking about pursuing this career until I found out that death, hospitals and mostly sadness is not something for me. Life is too short for that. We all experience this in our life but not as a career field. I for instance am happy that my mother and one of my sister's are doctors because I know that they are helping people.

Yes, I read a bit about it. Seems like tensions are running high. I recall having a discussion about the Rohingya people a few months ago with a Burmese user. Fair to say that we were not in agreement. The biggest Rohingya diaspora outside of South Asia is found in KSA and especially in Makkah and Hijaz as a whole. So I read about their situation ages ago. Burmese people argue that they are recent illegal migrants from Bangladesh who should return while they say that they are indigenous people who just started converting to Islam when the first Arab Muslim merchants and sailors started settling in what is now Burma.

Rohingya people - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

1. The truth is they are Arab/semi-Arab settlers dating back to 5050BCwhen the Byzantine navigator Hipolytus discovered the Monsoon winds ushering in the sea-trade from Aden to Canton. The Message was conveyed to them during the life-time of the Holy Prophet pbuh. The bearer of The Message Sahabi Abu Waqqas Malik Ibn Wahab ra spent eight years in eastern BD-Arakan. He then moved to Canton where he established the famous mosque.I have prayed there by the grace of Allah sa. He is buried nearby in a complex the local Muslims call the Mausoleum of our ancestor.
2. The entire Muslim world is alert to the genocide of Rohingyas taking place. But they have been unable to do nothing because the current govt has surrendered themselves to Hindu India who have an anti-Muslim pogrom of their own.Except giving them n office in their HQ OIC has practically done nothing.
3. Individuals and govts in the entire Ummah are eager to help. But nothing can be done till the Indian Satanic hold over our govt is eliminated. Then the Rohingyas can fight and expel the invaders of their land. As enjoined in Sura al Baqara: 190-191 the Arakan Muslims must fight. And it is also right that they seek and obtain all help - ja'n o' ma'l /life and kind, from their brethren.

You are probably right. I am overestimating seniority here. Fact of the matter though is that he recently had an important position and that the country is now ruled by the Sudairi clan which he is a part of. If Sultan had lived to become the king he might have returned at some important position. Now he is probably not going to do so as you say.

New blood is needed too. I fully agree.

Mosab, just out of curiosity, are you working as a GP or something else? Also are you based in Ta'if or Jeddah? Or have you thrown the beloved Hijaz in the trash bin and moved to the "Devil's Horn", Najd?

I'm a surgeon general and yes I am based in Taif.

@Mosamania hey buddy if youre in jeddah will you give me a free checkup ? :-)

I am close enough to Jeddah I have no qualms about clearing any misconceptions you ahve of me and vice versa.

Good luck with your career, Mosab.

@Rakan.SA @Mosamania

It is really disturbing to see countrymen engaged in such silly discussions.

@Rakan.SA I know that you are a conservative Muslim with strong opinions, especially in regards to the current conflicts in the ME (I am too) but please cut down on the personal insults and language. I know that I had my "episodes" too on PDF but I am just giving you some good advice and not to bother you. Besides you risk getting banned. Don't forget that you are also representing KSA in a way as foolish as it may sound but you do.

Also I don't like that some of us Arabs here, just because of differences in sect from the same religion moreover, are hateful towards each other. As a learned person you must know the close kinship on all fronts between Saudi Arabians and Iraqis. Especially those in Southern Iraq which mostly happen to be Shias. Whether in terms of ancient pre-Islamic Semitic history that is several millennium old, geographic proximity, Islam, ancestry, tribal/clan ties, culture, language etc. So it's very unpleasant that relations are like this due to the regimes and religious tensions that are blown out of proportion. I say this as partially Iraqi so I may be biased here although I hope that you get my point. But as a saying goes, you often have the fiercest fights with those that are nearest to you.

I may as well tag @SALMAN AL-FARSI here which is normally a great user and fellow Muslim Arab. His avatar alone should tell you @Rakan.SA that any hostility is bound in political/religious disagreements.

In any way I do believe that Arabs regardless of sect and religion should not fight against each other. Let alone countrymen. In general people in the Arab world should become better at tolerating differences.

Now, I don't have much time on my hand so don't expect me to engage in a long discussion based on what I have written to you here.
