Saudi Arabia to import thousands of Pakistani doctors

Sir I know and almost certian some of Pakistan Nuclear Scintists are already in Saudi Arabia and some of even our Nuclear Weapons are in Saudi Arabia and you see that every next day news come of Pakistan increasing its Nuclear Plants for Weapons that is being done with Saudi money and done for both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia

It is would be another blunder on part of Pakistan and a recipe for disaster if what you said in bold is true. I doubt it obviously. Pakistan should finance it's projects itself and even we want money we should do it through the training of Saudi armed forces and getting payed for it by the Saudi govt. I don't want another stain of nuclear proliferation on Pakistan and I hope Pakistani establishment would be sane enough to realize it.

.
I agree with that.

One thing I've heard is that many people who go to Saudi to work usually stay there until they made enough money and then leave. People don't usually settle there permanently. So hopefully many of these doctors will come back eventually and the conditions in Pakistan will have changed by then.

Uh because I go to school here? And don't worry I shall eventually come back to Pakistan when I'm done.

I understand the doctors point of view but my question was why does Saudi Arabia need to import everything? Are they lacking talented/skilled people in their country?
Why every country wants to import Oil from Arabia?
You know wat happened when an injured person taken to hospital in Karachi after being shot... Wat crisis surgeon faces at then..? Docters are not just going their for money its for the situation we are dealing with....
first provide facilities to them ... then convinced them to stop in Pakistan and serve for us...

.
Seriously speaking in my opinion Doctors and Engineers who have completed their education from public sector institutions should be forced to give service of at least 4-5 years in Pakistan. Yeah those who have completed their education from private sector can go anywhere they want to.

What if they gave 1, 2, or 5 billion dollars for each nuke ?
Is there any truth to the rumor that Pakistan already sold nukes to SA ?

It is a rumor until proven. I won't favor any such type of sale even if they pay a billion dollars.

Sorry Saudi is different providing them will not harm us much because than China will defend us to and Russia to because they can't afford to have bad relations with Saudi Arabia and by the way China is providing Saudi Arabia with ballistic missiles to and Saudi Arabia should now develop modern Medical Colleges and if they lack teacers they should hire doctors who are good at teaching to Saudi Arabia in future could have their own doctors and and Medical Staff and this will also help in contrlling poverty and reduce their dependence on oil

.
But imagine how many people would love to ... make so much money ... i think they would sell them for less than that

People will even sell Pakistan if someone offer them a good number of bucks. I can't support that either.

What china is providing SA is not our concern we shouldn't involve in this mess. I again doubt that China would have been doing anything silly like this.

Sorry Areesh Bro! Its our government and society who call Arabia when they need money... Its our PM who call Saudi Arabia to ran away from Pakistan... Our internal infra structure lacks too much.. Our institution and departments are full of corruption..
Energy crisis... still country dominated by Traitors... 60+ old year don't want to retire so the youth get chances...
I don't know why my countrymen are felling so surprised when our docters want to serve Arabia.... How much opportunities they get in Pakistan?

Exactly

Our internal infra structure lacks too much

As per a high ranking Transport department related Government official on TV "Investment on Road and Transport is a dead investment"

Our institution and departments are full of corruption..
Energy crisis

Shame on Pakistani clerics that they call themselves Islamic clerics who cannot influence the governments of "Islamic" republic of Pakistan to make policies that are in line with Islamic values

still country dominated by Traitors... 60+ old year don't want to retire so the youth get chances...

I disagree. All the old usual F%%^$*ing "regimes" of Pakistan (regimes= parties of corrupt politicians who have ruled and are ruling Pakistan) are bringing forward their own F%%^$*ing retarded relatives and sons and daughters.

I don't know why my countrymen are felling so surprised when our docters want to serve Arabia.... How much opportunities they get in Pakistan?

Whether the news is true or not but since the Governments have failed to provide the right conditions and a dignified status of living for the common man in the past 60+ years in general and to let him to work and live with dignity, therefore, Pakistanis should start to think of moving out of the country and serve other countries if they are not able to bring a honest patriotic elected leader/president/dictator (what ever you want to call) from among the 180+ million Pakistanis.

At least they will be recognized for their hard work by the host countries who will make use of the expertise of Pakistanis and the host countries develops more and more unlike Pakistan.

.
and there goes our doctors dont we need them a thousand times mor than some posh country. and what i sont understand is how did doctors not being given opportunities in pakistan and going to saudi arabia has anything to do with nuclear missiles there something wrong with indians

.
Yes its government fault because government cutting development budget for defense and still i have zero expectations from this regime including chiefs. A medical students spend 5 years and another 4,5 years in specialization gets starting 22K to 44K. Peanuts

Thanks to Saudia for importing man power from Pakistan.

.
"Import " is kind of insulting for someone like Doctor....

Saudi Arabia to import thousands of Pakistani doctors

Govt agency offering doctors triple their salaries to work in Saudi hospitals.

LAHORE: Dr Nawaz* (not his real name) is a medical officer (MO) at Mayo Hospital and, like all government-employed doctors in BPS-17, got a Rs15,000 raise last year, taking his monthly pay to Rs44,000. Yesterday, the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health offered him a job for 6,000 riyals (Rs145,000) a month.

“It’s a handsome offer. I’m going to take it,” said the doctor after an interview with the Overseas Employment Corporation, a Pakistani government agency that is hiring doctors for Saudi Arabia.

At Mayo Hospital, Dr Nawaz has to serve in shifts of up to 48 hours straight. In Saudi Arabia, he will get two days off each week and work eight-hour days.

“Here we have a lot of uncertainty. We cannot get a raise unless we protest and boycott work. I am getting out of it,” he said.

Dr Nawaz has been in a government job for three years and said he would resign before leaving. However, many doctors with more years in government service will likely seek permission from the government to go on leave to Saudi Arabia so they can return to their government jobs upon coming back to Pakistan.

Two private Saudi agencies are also interviewing Pakistani doctors for posts in government hospitals in Saudi Arabia. Saturday was the last day of interviews in Lahore. Interviews in Islamabad will take place from January 11 to 13.

“Around 3,000 doctors have been interviewed in Lahore for different positions including residents and consultants,” an OEC official told The Express Tribune.

He said that the Saudi government had recently built a lot of new hospitals and they were short of doctors. He did not say how many doctors the Saudis aimed to hire from Pakistan.

Residents (trainee doctors) are being offered salaries of between 5,000 (Rs121,000) and 8,000 riyals (Rs193,000), while consultants with a fellowship are being offered between 12,000 (Rs290,000) and 16,000 (Rs387,000) riyals. Senior professors and associate professors are being offered up to 30,000 riyals (Rs725,000) per month.

Last year, the Saudi Ministry of Health hired a thousand Pakistani doctors. Shortly afterwards, government-employed doctors in Punjab went on strike to demand better pay.

“This time they are going to hire more doctors,” said a senior doctor who went for an interview.

“The Indian government has just increased the salaries of public doctors and no Indian doctors are going to Saudi Arabia.

They are focusing more on Pakistani doctors this year.”

The Pakistan Medical Association warned that the country was losing its best doctors to Saudi Arabia and urged the government to improve the service structure for health professionals to stop the brain drain.

“The government on one hand claims to invest in health and education and on the other it does nothing to stop the brain drain,” said PMA Joint Secretary Dr Salman Kazmi.

“The government announces a pay package for doctors and nurses only when they go on strike or take to the streets. This is no solution. The government needs to develop a structure otherwise we may run out doctors.”

A Health Department spokesman said that the government couldn’t match the salaries offered to doctors abroad, especially when they had only recently been given raises. He said the government spent hundreds of millions of rupees on educating and training doctors and they should consider reasons other than monetary for working in Pakistan.

Saudi Arabia to import thousands of Pakistani doctors – The Express Tribune

This is good news for Pakistani doctors who want to make good money, but how will they communicate with their patients? Saudis don't speak Urdu or English.

The highlighted part is the gist:

1. The pakistanis are secondary choice as Indians are not going there. It also debunked brotherhood theories .

2. Its a great loss for pakistan and not a good news in fact a very bad news for the people of pakistan.

Many pakistani doctors who have not tempted to go USA/UK but they will surely opt for Saudi Arabia for religious reasons.
