Saudi Arabia to import thousands of Pakistani doctors

There are plenty of doctors in Arab countries, the special preference for Pakistan from the Saudis is a mystery to me. Saudis seem to have a special relationship with Pakistan ahead of many other Arab countries as well.

You will find doctors in almost every Pakistani family. Doctors and engineers have always gotten respect in Pakistan even before our independence. Its the culture of Pakistanis that being a doctor is a noble profession, and it is. It requires a lot of studying and hard work. You will find hundreds of medical schools in Pakistan because there are so many kids wanting to be doctors in Pakistan. Also Pakistan is a nation of 185 million people.

The entire Middle East combined does not have enough medical schools as there are in Pakistan alone. And Pakistan goes by the British education system, so medical schools in Pakistan are very good by international standards and are all taught in English. My cousin said in his medical school in Pakistan there were many students from the Middle East the Arab medical students said their Arab countries don't have many medical schools and it is very competitive to get admission in those Arab medical schools.

I am not saying Pakistanis lack brains. Rather, I am saying others also have brains. Regarding defense of Saudi Arabia, I think it's the Americans who are defending Saudi Arabia. Some Saudi members are under the impression that Pakistan may have lent them/sold them two nuclear bombs, but how much truth is in those impressions need to be seen.

Pakistanis and Saudis have worked together in the past and we continue to do so. We Pakistanis don't have any problems with the Arab world. Pakistan doesn't even recognize Israel even when some Arab countries do and we are far away from Israel so that can tell you how Pakistanis feel about the Muslim Ummah.

Anyways why do Saudis have to import EVERYTHING: doctors, soldiers, engineers, laborers, etc.

Why cant any of their own citizens do anything?

I am not saying Pakistanis lack brains. Rather, I am saying others also have brains. Regarding defense of Saudi Arabia, I think it's the Americans who are defending Saudi Arabia. Some Saudi members are under the impression that Pakistan may have lent them/sold them two nuclear bombs, but how much truth is in those impressions need to be seen.

Not to worry. Every Pakistani parent wants at least one of their kids to be a doctor so I don't think there will be a shortage of doctors in Pakistan. Yea many will want to leave Pakistan after completing medical college. Government should give the same benefits to doctors in Pakistan that doctors abroad get so there wont be an exodus of doctors.

I'm happy for those docters that atleast their future is save ... by the why don't you come back in Pakistan and serve it.. Why you are living in U.S and serving for it?

I agree with that.

One thing I've heard is that many people who go to Saudi to work usually stay there until they made enough money and then leave. People don't usually settle there permanently. So hopefully many of these doctors will come back eventually and the conditions in Pakistan will have changed by then.

Uh because I go to school here? And don't worry I shall eventually come back to Pakistan when I'm done.

I dont think the Saudi gov gives that option nowadays (To take up Saudi residency). Many Pakistanis will be willing to take up that option if provided

Sir I know and almost certian some of Pakistan Nuclear Scintists are already in Saudi Arabia and some of even our Nuclear Weapons are in Saudi Arabia and you see that every next day news come of Pakistan increasing its Nuclear Plants for Weapons that is being done with Saudi money and done for both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia

Sorry Areesh Bro! Its our government and society who call Arabia when they need money... Its our PM who call Saudi Arabia to ran away from Pakistan... Our internal infra structure lacks too much.. Our institution and departments are full of corruption..
Energy crisis... still country dominated by Traitors... 60+ old year don't want to retire so the youth get chances...
I don't know why my countrymen are feeling so surprised when our docters want to serve Arabia.... How much opportunities they get in Pakistan?
