Preparedness and actual war is two different things, missiles systems are not for surveillance purposes or to stop infiltration via sea.

It's for real war, which i believe no one is crazy enough to attack India. We already have enough problems already, Middle east thing, Korean issue, south China sea issue, China Japan issue, among others.

True. But again its most effective usage will be to protect coastal installation like Coast guard stations, Refineries, N and Coal power plants, other infrastructures etc. Even those can be protected by IN or IAF SAM's.

I am not sure if this investment is required at this position in view of India. As u pointed out, China or Pakistan cannot defeat Indian Navy in Indian Ocean. Its pointless for now unless India is getting prepared for an invasion

We required it to defend our Eastern border we can't compete china in number for at least 10 to 15years till our economy come 7 to 8 trillions $

Has Indian MoD signalled intent at some point for acquiring such systems?

With NSG membership for India, such companies can easily export their products worldwide for the nuclear power industry.

I wanted explanation because India is not an NSG member yet so these exports etc still a distant dream until India gets NSG membership & that will probably take some time.
