Russia-Ukraine War - News and Developments PART 2

As I said it's impossible for Russia to ran out of raw material for cannon fodder
I just made a math, Russia raw materials of human lives divided daily casualty rate. You are right.

When taking the numbers of CISS Center for Strategic and International Studies and the NATO, Russia suffers 500-700 men dead and wounded per day or about 250,000 men per year.

When Putin announced the decree to partial mobilization, the numbers of men to be called in were kept secret. Shoigu, Russia defense minister said later Russia can call up 25 million men.
So the math: 25,000,000/ 250,000 = 100
Russia can continue this war for hundred years.

However Putin can’t live forever. He now is 70y. I think he will only make to 80y. When the war ends, Russia casualties would be 2.5 million. Still far beliow 8.6 million men USSR suffered in WW2. That’s not what they shock. Russians are hard core.

You don't have to kill all of a country's soldiers. You just have to break their spirit. I think this is where Ukraine has the advantage. They are fighting for their land and families that point can't be underestimated.

Latest:

In recent weeks, Ukraine has successfully launched attacks against the dry dock at the naval port of Sevastopol, resulting in serious damage to a Black Sea Fleet submarine and amphibious landing ship. S-400 air defense systems, critical to providing coverage against airstrikes on the peninsula, have also been targeted.

In just the last two days, Ukrainian strikes against Crimea hit a command post of the Black Sea Fleet, near Verkhnosadove, apparently inflicting massive damage to the building. Just yesterday, Ukraine said it had struck Saky military airfield on the peninsula, reportedly using a combination of numerous drones as well as Neptune cruise missiles.

Russian version:

"71 incoming Ukrainian missiles were successfully shot down. WE allowed some missiles to cause minor damage to a drydock/ submarine/ landing craft ship/ Headquarters building/ refinery/ fuel storage/ ammunition depot/ air base/ bombers /fighters/ helicopters/ S-400 air defense sites. But all services have been restored and are working normally. Please carry on with your vacation bookings - S-400 stronk." - Russian spokesperson.

When considering the economic cost to Russian state by putin stupidity , you also have to look at how many people have left the workforce by leaving the country to avoid conscription. That might be the most costly hit Russia takes as they were facing demographic collapse even before the war. To suddenly have a million, if reports are to be believed, people leaving their jobs is going to be huge break down in the day to day economics that keep people fed, clothed, and warm. When they can't sell their oil, the rich may lose some money, but they'll still be rich. When the people at the bottom can't move money around, the economy dries up.

Even more important in a continent with a declining population to have the prime workforce go to Russia’s adversaries, their gain as they too are in a population decline. Smart, younger, motivated workers. That is the ultimate Putin crime

Unless they move to Hungary, most of the countries they moved to are not stigmatizing them and accepting them. Out of morality or out of selfishness, either way, they are gaining talent.

You are right that not every smart guy left. But every body that left had the means to leave (so was smart enough in a high demand job) and so was smart

The Russian economy is growing. Ruble is strengthening. Sanctions had failed.

Russia is fighting for ethnic Russians persecuted in Ukraine.and Ukraine need to follow the Minsk accord. Stop the fighting andm negotiating with Rus Zia.
Are you an ostrich or human being.Rouble depreciated 100% since last June. Pls don’t be an ostrich and bury your hand in The sand. That is exactly how Putin the CIA stooge is fighting this war.

Nice - i like it, but I like this version a bit more, more accurate ;)

Russian version:

"71 incoming Ukrainian missiles were all successfully intercepted. The fantastic performance of our drydock/ submarine/ landing craft ship/ Headquarters building/ refinery/ fuel storage/ ammunition depot/ air base/ bombers /fighters/ helicopters/ S-400 to successfully intercept the missiles is unsurpassed in military performance and shows the superiority of all things made by russian's. All services have been restored and are working normally. Please carry on with your vacation bookings" - Russian spokesperson.

This is why they are becoming bosom bodies with North Korea ? Korea has nothing to give but artillery shells.

And also this is not WWII that NATO will just keep on cranking out artillery shells. Ante being upped with Storm Shadows, Taurus, ATACMS. One weapon one target is sufficient vs. mercilessly lobbing 100s of shells to get one target

Russian commanders killed in Storm Shadow missile strike

Several Russian commanders including the general leading the Kremlin’s forces in southern Ukraine were killed or badly injured in a Storm Shadow missile strike on Friday, Kyiv has claimed....

How about US and other western countries first announcing that Ukraine will never become part of NATO and European Union.
Why should it do so?
Ukraine is a sovereign country and has the right to join whatever organisations they want.
Russia accepted that in 1997. Now Putin is trying to back off.

Ukraine is only sovereign because its people have blue eyes and blonde hair. There are so many people suffering in this world and for so much longer. I have never seen Western people cry for others.

This too will come at a very high cost for Ukraine. No matter how much Ukraine succeeds in such targeted attacks. At the end of the day, Russia will absorb the attacks and Ukraine won't.

Neither side is running out of soldiers. Its pointless having this discussion. Both countries have a large population that can sustain the current losses for years to come. Its all a matter of accepting such losses. The ukrainians are fighting for their existance, the russians are fighting for what exactly?
