The Russians are the ones that can put a stop to the killing of Ukrainans by stopping killing Ukrainans.
The F-16 will neither make or break the win. It will simply tilt the war towards Ukraine. What will win the war is persistence.


I doubt that is in the plans.
Ukraine will get second hand jets, be it F-16 or Gripen.
The Czech Republic and Hungary might give up their Gripens when they have replacements. South Africa has surplus Gripens and might be persuaded to get rid of a dozen if Putin angers them for some reason.

Other role is hunting Russian artillery. Ukraine don’t need F35s for these missions. Europe air forces will eventually acquire F35s they can donate all F16s.

Why would Russia need to fail in Ukraine in order to hunt down US and european interests from now onwards? If they had the capacity couldnt they just have done it anyways?

The first confirmed kill by an F-16 in Ukraine is most probably going to be a cruise missile.
Ukraine should consider itself lucky if getting 100 F-16s from Europe. If they need a larger F-16 fleet, the US will have to provide them. The largest operational F-16 fleets in Europe are in Greece and Turkey, and as always they are preparing to fight eachother.

false analogy- Ukraine has its biggest and best support NOW, and since it cant achieve its territorial "goals" vis-a-vis Russia with the max resources, Ukraine will never have a better support system in the world or region.

The war will go into 2024, and most likely 2025 for sure. The F16s will help during offensives in 2024 for sure and the longer this was goes on, the harder it will become for Russia. That is probably the point of the staggered release of weapons.

A Russian soldier showed a Ukrainian gun truck with a ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun. The term "gun truck" first appeared during the Vietnam War when the US Transportation Corps faced heavy truck losses and began armoring and arming trucks. But the very fact of installing various weapons on trucks was recorded earlier - this happened back in the years of the First World War. The video shows a captured gun truck of the Ukrainian army, made on the basis of a Zil 131 truck with a ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun installed.
