They also have quite a large reserve fleet, but they’ve been dipping into their reserves for some time now. Visually confirmed tanks losses are now at 1901, but total tank losses are likely around 2,300. They can produce around 250 new tanks a year, still far below their loss rate.

Russia is looking at complete decimation of its tank forces in another 2 years at current loss rates.

Russia has 10,000 T-62 / T-55 in storage and those are all returned to service. Not to mention Ural tank factory is pumping out 200 new tanks a year.

Russia tank losses exceed the replacement rate 5:1. that‘s unsustainable. That won’t make any difference even if Putin can refurbish thousands of old T54/55 tanks.

Reading some war plans how Ukraine going to do next. Ukraine counteroffensives are expected in April. The initial attacks will push forward Saporizha, Malitopol. if this part successful, Ukraine will cut the Russia invasion by half. The second part will push forwards attacking the Russians western flank, towards the Black Sea. The final push will be installing Himars along the borders bombing the Russian troops at Crimea.

The war can be over in October.
