Russia-Ukraine War - News and Developments PART 2

NO they wont. But they should if they want to. I would encourage them to use nukes if thats what they think will help them.

Well, russia is master strategist and has nothing to worry about. It will win this war. Right?

Neither Russia nor Ukraine are master strategists. The point is that there is only one loser if this develops into a very long and bloody war of attrition. Unless you are thinking that anyone is going to fight the war for Ukraine by deploying actual combat troops?

Also I don't think that millions of pro-Russian Ukrainians (actual Russians) are ever going to accept Ukraine rule again. The idea of Crimea returning to Ukraine is pure fantasy for instance.

Let’s wait. I don’t think it would take a year before Ukraine get the tanks. Abrams run on gas turbine it’s like a jet with a 120mm big cannon. However the engine can be modified to run on diesel like leopards 2.
Biden says the US will build a tank battalion of 31 Abrams, 8 tank recovery vehicles come in addition. while Germany and other European allies 2 battalions with 80 leopards 2. In 3 months Ukraine can launch limited counteroffensive. For a start it’s not too bad.
From the performance many say Abrams are better because more protections. That’s very true in Iraq.

Was just chatting with a Ukrainian friend of mine who was the deputy commander of the 95th Air Assualt Brigade.

He pointed out one simple fact.

1 year ago, he wouldn't dream of Ukraine will be using T-90 tank, let alone M1 Abrams and Leopard 2. If I told him US is going to give them HIMARS, Abrams Tanks, Bradley Fighting vehicle back in January 2022, he would say I am crazy, most people will say that too. By the way, he said at least 1 captured T-90 (either an A or M version) has been sent to Poland for evaluation.

But now, they don't just get all those, the Ukrainian is now asking for F-16 and A-10 transfer, we all know there are Ukrainian already flying both simulator, and rumour has it there are Ukrainian training in Nellis AFB (Which coincidentally flew both A-10 (926th wing) and F-16 (57th Wing).

This is all because Russia wanted Ukrainian to remain with its sphere of influence, it can't do any further away from their original goal.

German strategy with Russia was always co-development.

It was a win win for both sides. Germany hot cheap gas, which made their massive industry competitive globally.

While Russia got a steady stream of German cash coming in.

In this scenario it is in both sides interest that the other is stable and prosperous.

This strategy was working perfectly for germany. Until the parasites across the atlantic known as the “usa” thought to themselves “ how we can weaken russia, destroy german russia relations, weaken germany and make them completely ddependent o. The US.. and voila. We have this war

The anglo american alliance declared all out war on germany post 1870. Right after bismarks famous blood and iron speech. When the germans absolutely humiliated the biggest european land power.

Originaly the brits were cheering on the germans. But after they bent france over every which way, they saw that a dominant germany was an existential threaat to the us/anglo powers. … and the rest is history

Germany needs To wake the **** up already, grow a pair of balls, and start acting as an independent country for the first time post ww2.

The american occupation of germany has never ended unfortunately. And the ramifications are still being felt
You are more duped than Trump supporters that believe Trump is fighting the cia deepstate.

European NATO equipment is designed to fight Washington wars in support. While not focusing on defense of Europe from Russia. Hence, no massive stockpiles of thousands of German Tanks in Germany.

Sweden is non-NATO and designed a fighter jet to destroy Russian aircraft. Finland is non-NATO and have their military strategy solely about defending from a Russian invasion.

These two are patriotic nations that are prepared to defend Europe. The NATO nations, "rely on papa Washington", are ill prepared for a Russian invasion.

Because for years their military planning and weapons development and equipment stockpile was around Washington endless wars. Which was help a little in Afghanistan or Iraq. "That's a gud boy".

Their defense strategy relied Washington "saving Europe". While NATO went along with Washington, "you don't need stockpiles of weapons to defend Europe, Russia is not attacking".

Russia is attacking and Europe is losing. Washington failed policy is deliberate. A war with China would be total war. A European War vs Russia is send 20 HIMARS & 31 Abrams, a joke of a policy.

The Trump and Putin policy is make the EU as weak as possible with the objective to kill it and force Europe to Trumpian Putinism.

Explaining the entire past 20 years of NATO Europe being lulled to sleep by Putin, when Putin has been planning war for decades.

NATO Europe politicians during these decades betrayed Europe and should be considered traitors. Only in re-arming can EU nation leaders be seen as patriots.

Trump was like a bank robber phoning the bank that the bank was vulnerable to a robbery and that they needed more security. When the bank does not do more security, the bank robber robs the bank. And when questioned by the cops if the bank robber robbed the bank, the bank robber gaslights the cops and says, No, I warned the bank beforehand about needed security, I am the hero of the bank.

Trump and Putin...

Both back Brexit
Both want EU to fail
Both want NATO to end
Both hate Ukraine

Both have same chabad connections
Both have same Russian oligarch connections
Both have same Russian mob connections

Both are backed by Bannon
Both are backed by tucker
Both are backed by Rupert Murdoch media
Both are backed by Russia Republicans

Both are trying to revive the entente project of the UK, with farage and Le Pen.

Russian oligarchs admits to Russian interference to have trump win.

Europe was blindsided. Finland is prepared for war with Russia.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what is Russia's current real plan?

Do they intend to fully or partially annex Ukraine?

In Moscow, the strengthening of air defense began, it is not known what this is connected with, but the Pantsir-S1 air defense missile system was installed on the roof of one of the buildings. Perhaps this was done to protect against drones, since it is difficult for anti-aircraft systems to fix them in urban areas.

The artillery crew of the Russian 152 mm D-20 howitzers spoke about their combat work in Ukraine. Howitzer firing range exceeds 17 kilometers

The electronic warfare station of the Ukrainian army came under attack from the Russian Lancet kamikaze drone.

A soldier of PMC "Wagner" spoke about the tactics of taking settlements in Ukraine. During the interview, there was a Ukrainian mine strike nearby, despite this he calmly spoke about the situation in Soledar.

For the first time, a grenade dropped from a drone was shot down in Ukraine. Ammunition dropped from a Ukrainian drone was able to shoot down a Russian serviceman from small arms.

Russia is a man rule country. Putin’s military, political, strategic goals haven’t changed. Until he changes it, nothing will change. That’s not only about Ukraine. He has demands towards the US, the NATO. What we see is only operational military maneuvers on the ground.

The war in Ukraine could soon get much worse.
Russia may be preparing to launch a major spring offensive, and it could come even before the winter snows start to melt.

The time to give Ukraine what it needs to defend itself and expel the Russian invaders is now. But despite a remarkably unified commitment, some of Ukraine’s supporters in the West are throwing wrenches in the pipeline.
Ukraine believes the Kremlin could make another push to take the capital, Kyiv, and anticipates that Russian President Vladimir Putin will call up some 500,000 more troops in addition to the 300,000 mobilized late last year.
Moscow denies it’s planning a second mobilization, but the independent Russian news outlet Volya, citing sources in Russia’s military, reported that Moscow plans to recruit another 700,000 troops. In addition, Ukraine also faces more than 50,000 private-army mercenaries, most of them Russian prisoners released in exchange for fighting.
On Friday, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin declared, “This is a decisive moment for Ukraine, in a decisive decade for the world,” following a crucial meeting of Ukraine’s top Western allies at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.
DNIPRO, UKRAINE - JANUARY 17: As the search and rescue at a destroyed apartment building officially ends, military and police continue to gather at the site where some 40 victims, including children, were killed on January 17, 2023 in Dnipro, Ukraine.

Even by Russia's standards, this was a particularly repulsive attack

Ukraine is fighting against a Russia that has been a pernicious, destabilizing force on the global stage. The West is trying to calibrate its support, but the result of the Ramstein meeting was disappointing for Kyiv and for those who believe Russia must be defeated.
Austin reiterated that the United States will continue to support Ukraine “for as long as it takes,” urging Kyiv’s friends to “dig even deeper.” Despite the exhortations, however, the defense chiefs failed in one of the principal goals of the meeting, deciding to send battle tanks, which Ukraine says it needs without delay.
The decision on tanks was blocked by Germany, reluctant to send its Leopard 2 tanks or to grant permission to other countries that own them to release them. Berlin fears that Moscow will view the presence of German tanks as a provocation and wants the US to send its tanks to give it cover.
Washington is sending armored fighting vehicles and other heavy weapons but maintains that its Abrams tanks are unsuited for this war because learning to operate them takes too long and they are difficult to maintain. They insist the German tanks are a better fit.
Blocking the transfer of needed weapons to Ukraine is, shall we say, not Germany at its best.

Ukraine’s Eastern European backers, invaded by Russia during the Cold War and earlier, were fuming. Poland’s foreign minister lambasted Germany, reminding Berlin that this is not just an exercise, “Ukrainian blood is shed for real.” The three Baltic states — Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania — demanded that Germany act “now.”
Ukrainian servicemen fire with a French self-propelled 155 mm/52-calibre gun Caesar towards Russian positions at a front line in the eastern Ukrainian region of Donbas on June 15, 2022. - Ukraine pleaded with Western governments on June 15, 2022 to decide quickly on sending heavy weapons to shore up its faltering defences, as Russia said it would evacuate civilians from a frontline chemical plant.

Their brilliance was a mirage. How 2022 exposed the world's tyrants

A frustrated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said, “There is no rational reason why Ukraine has not yet been supplied with Western tanks.”
As it battles Russian soldiers and mercenaries, Ukraine has another worry. One Ukrainian source told CNN that Kyiv is concerned about the shift in the political balance in Washington now that Republicans — some of whom are less than wholeheartedly supportive of Ukraine — have taken control of the US House of Representatives. Ukrainians require the continuing forceful backing they have received from Washington.
Watching from afar, it’s easy to get the impression that Putin may soon end his hapless Ukraine war. After all, this conflict has been an utter disaster for Russia, even if it continues to kill scores of civilians by bombing apartment blocks, and despite an occasional symbolic advance.
Putin has no intention of stopping. He has silenced his liberal critics at home, but he is under pressure from far-right nationalists, including some who own mercenary armies and are showing off their prowess while mocking the Russian army that answers to him, as has Yevgeny Prigozhin, who runs the notorious Wagner Group.
Besides, Putin, who views himself as a clever student of history, may be looking at some of Russia’s greatest victories, which it wrested out of the jaws of defeat.
Russia managed to repel invasions by Napoleon and the Nazis, but the current Russian President may have gleaned the wrong lesson from his predecessors’ prowess. Napoleon and Hitler were the invaders. The Russian empire, and later the Soviet Union, was defending itself.
makiivka drone footage explosion
Russia is blaming its own dead soldiers

This time, Russia is the aggressor. Ukraine has the home-field advantage, including the inexhaustible determination to defeat the hated invader.
In fact, history teaches us something else: In 2008, Putin invaded neighboring Georgia and got away with capturing some of its territory. In 2014, he invaded Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula and got away with that. Then, last year, he decided to take all of Ukraine.
The lesson is that when the Kremlin’s expansionist military adventures succeed, they are followed by more aggression, more wars, more illegal confiscation of its neighbors’ territory. Moscow’s victories seem to produce more wars of Russian aggression.
Defeating this assault is the best way to secure future peace, to reaffirm the notion that a rapacious country cannot simply swallow a peaceful neighbor — a notion we thought had ended after World War II.
Understandably, Germany emerged from that war with a pacifist bent. But the lesson of World War II is about the danger of allowing aggressive despots to make gains.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz may hesitate to send tanks to fight Russia, as Germany did in the 1940s, but he too may be distilling the wrong lessons from history. German tanks invaded a sovereign country back then. This time, they would be defending one.
Some, in fact, argue that the World War II experience bestows Germany with a unique moral responsibility to provide Kyiv what it needs. (When the Nazis invaded the Soviet Union, by the way, they invaded Ukraine, one of its republics.)

After the defense ministers at Ramstein announced they had not decided to send tanks, Zelensky, clearly disappointed, reaffirmed that Ukraine urgently needs tanks but added an intriguing comment about what had transpired. “Not everything,” he said, “can be announced in public.”
Sooner or later, I have little doubt, the tanks will come. Already German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has ordered an inventory of the Leopards and suggested that other countries that own them start making preparations in case Germany authorizes the transfer.
Later is better than never, but there’s no reason, no excuse to delay, because Russia is about to make the war in Ukraine even deadlier. The window for preventing a much longer war may soon close.

Actually, this is not the response I was anticipating.

Do they intend to fully annex or partially annex Ukraine? Are they having plans to annex particular areas to annex only? When It will get end..

If Europe loses to Putin, freedom in Europe will never return, not in a decade, century or 1000 years.

Iraq was invaded and got democracy within in a few years. So did Afghanistan. Trump and Putin plan was to kill Europe and make it the monopoly board of trump and Putin criminals, with opposition crushed for thousands of years. Russia has entrenched mafia and criminals running Russia. That is not going away in centuries. Those criminals want Europe as an expanded Russia.

Putin and Russian entrenched criminals mean to take away military/resistance and government from conquered Europe. And have the support of trumper USA and Tory UK.

So Europe has no choice to rearm and get defensive nukes.

Well in respect to Ukraine, Russia wants to annex Donbas as minimum goal. cutting Donbas out of Ukraine will make Ukraine very hard to survive.

As maximum goal Putin want to cut off the entire east and south of Ukraine, cutting off Ukraine from the seas, from industrial, manufacturing capacity.

Ukraine would have no chance. It would rely on aid, on imports to survive.
